Great rant summed it up perfectly. It was pretty clear at draft night what was going on, I was only hoping he would request a trade at trade deadline so we could see what a scoot lillard back court could look like. (Which could still happen with how incompetent and delusional this front office is). If Lillard does get traded I hope they can get Phil knight, a competent GM, and a second round pick for him.
I will support this channel but I'm boycott not watch any games done tired of this front office

Thank you. I'm rooting for Dame elsewhere. I really hope he gets his championship and goes down as one of the greats. I'm kinda surprised from the bootlicking coming from the fans. I guess the idea is to stay safe you're just supposed to side with the Boss. Blazers went from one of the best small market teams in sports for years to one of the worst organizations now. You just don't treat people this way. If you do they leave.
Look at the message that Jody Allen is sending to the current players and future players whether draft picks or free agency or trades to the entire basketball community. They will use abuse anyone to keep the Portland Trail Blazers into a barely getting into the playoffs and have a fast exit for the sake of money, this includes manipulating everyone flat-out lying to them, which includes straight up a lion to him using and abusing them and then trading them to some small-market team that has no shot of getting to the finals.
The Blazers young and talented Future Stars are nothing to this organization. I suggest that these young men should play out their contract and go elsewhere in search of the finals. The fans also have been misled and given nothing but hopium to get to the promised land, while they keep the team in the muck and mire of mediocrity.
Maybe the community should stop buying Trailblazer products, maybe even have a public burning of sad products. The Microsoft mentality of running a business is unacceptable to the Blazer Nation. We need to hurt the Microsoft mentality right where it counts in their profit sheet.
Imagine being paid $500 million from a company for throwing a ball in a hoop and then claiming said company didn’t do enough… reality check
I really hope that Dame knows that the majority of fans are good with him. The franchise did nothing for him Dame had every right to do so I wish him the absolute best.
Dame's current decision is literally just like those others he was critical of, but delayed a bit. You seem to want Dame to have his cake and eat it too. You can't play the loyalty card as you're showering and shaving for a date with your first Tinder hookup.
All the moves Joe and crew make or don't make take place within a context of a market they can't control.
I'm not mad at Dame, just sad to lose such a cool human being. I'm also afraid that maybe he let Draymond get in his ear – an athlete who supposedly believes the earth is flat.
I get being sad that dame is leaving. I’m sad too. But to me the nightmare is over. To me the nightmare was living with his debilitating contract, and poor defense and still hoping that somehow a small market team could attract free agents or make a great trade. To me the nightmare was knowing about a year ago that without a healthy maximized nurk and without roster balance this team can never afford Lillard’s contract or bad defense and also expect to win. I’m relieved that we can move forward with a better plan. We have winning talent at the guard position. Turning dame into winning talent somewhere else actually makes us better than if he stayed. Yes it’s sad but if there was a good trade out there to fit with dame it would have been done. That means no one offered a trade that made us better. This is a really sad time but it’s also really exciting. If we can bring back a balanced roster for dame we have a great chance of being the jazz of this year or the clippers of 2016, or the post melo nuggets, or the early brad Steven’s Celtics. And the best part is we have two young superstars in sharpe and scoot. There is so much to look forward to now. There was never anything realistic to look forward to with dame at this point in his career.
It’s toxic to put this situation on any one as if it’s a fault. Dame doesn’t play good enough defense to lead a team without wing depth and the FO couldn’t land a trade that made us better. If they could have they would. Just cuz they couldn’t doesn’t mean they lied, misled or were incompetent. Let’s be sad about dame. That’s fine. But no one needs to be hated on or blamed or maligned for things they couldn’t control. At the end of the day we have dame a huge bag, spent 11 years and 3 roster attempts to build it around him and he asked to leave. He has the right to do that but it’s not anyone’s fault.
I cant understand how some people are blaming Dame… this is 100% on the Blazers ownership, Olshey, Cronin and the rest of the Blazer management. We had one of the best players in league history saying he was all in with us, didn't want to move his family and wanting to continue be a part of this community. The Blazers lied to us and lied to him. I will always be with Dame!
One question for you. Considering that no players have been beating down the door to come play with Dame in Portland, an organization with the rep of being 1) player friendly, 2) having an excellent fan base, 3) great facilities, 4) deep pockets, 5) and great natural environment/quality of life, then . . . what's a gal to do?
I mean, it's not like you can force them to value these things.

This rant was spot on from beginning to end. Not sure how anybody could argue against anything said.
I do think if Heat lost in 2nd round of playoffs this year, people would look at Dame saying he wants to go to Miami in a much more positive way.

I think Lillard should’ve said that he didn’t care about winning a championship when telling everybody he didn’t care about winning a championship for he’s legacy… That gave Joe and Jody to take full advantage of that situation and say ok this guy gunna stay committed no matter what we do and give Lillard the run around

i said it on twitter/shitter and i will say it here again: this fanbase just cant help itself but hate their own players. They need someone to hate and unload their frustrations on without the player doing anything wrong. First it was meyers for years being bullied regardless of what he did, but once he was gone they acted all lovely and thanking him, being hypocrites, so much so they booed him at home. The man was literally depressed bc of it. Then it was CJ, then Nurk and recently it seems to turn onto Ant. Now they bellitle Dame and turn on him too after everything he did for the team and City- Just toxic af. They need therapy ASAP
I just feel like Lillard is responsible for the hiring of joe Cronin and Billups as he spoke so highly of them both and both are trash and for him to ask for a trade one day after free agency is not right atleast wait to see what happens over the summer..fyi the reason we didn’t get Danny ainge as a gm is because he wanted to blow it up and trade Dame..

My thoughts on this bullshit out front office has made happen:
Dame saying he wants to retire here and was ok with being one of those stars who retires without a ring. He truly meant that but that’s as long as they made some actual effort of having a playoff team not super young with no experience.
Trading CJ prolly wasn’t the first thought of “what is this organization doing” but I think Dame might have had his first real thoughts of possibly leaving after they traded Josh Hart for nothing without any warning to dame/Hart/team.
But once they say we will trade any draft pick unless it is Wemby and they didn’t was final straw.
Tried to keep it short and could say a lot more on my mind but just gone leave it there.
Easier said than done now since we know Dame is getting traded most likely unless a miracle somehow comes around. But I’m excited to have scoot sharpe and ant as future but it isn’t super flashy or exciting but we coulda traded ant for finney smith and possibly Royce O’Neal or cam Johnson or pick or so, and then traded #3 for OG and like Trent jr or Poetl or alonrgg those lines since I have done trade machine to check salaries, and then use MLE to sign a backup big man. But this on our whole front office (Bert, Jody, Cronin) I know Cronin might not get full blame (still gets a ton of blame) since he’s doing what Bert and Jody wants and he just has to say what he’s told or else I’m sure they’d fire him for not saying what he’s told. but he still needa man up and say the truth and not lie to dame in private.
