Not sure exactly what Monte had to give for him. But if he can return to his rookie type numbers and play it makes sense. If not it was a bad move by Monte adding another SG to our bench when other positions are clearly more important and needed to fill. My guess is TD is gone maybe others and Monte figures Duarte will be a slight upgrade if he can stay health and improve. It's a lower risk/cost high upside trade Monte likes.

Pretty much everything that could go wrong did go wrong last year for Duarte, but as his rookie highlights show, he can play basketball. And as a #13 pick, Duarte's 2nd team all-rookie team performance shows that evaluators had him right, which projects well for his tenure as a King. Can't wait to see how all these pieces fit together!!
