If they don't understand by now that a young player who doesn't play defense and is streaking behind the arc that focuses too much on scoring… well. It is what it is… I wouldn't say wait and see what happens. I'd say just forget about it. You can't teach defense. It's either in you to be a dog and do the dirty work or you're programmed to score and be a selfish player. Anyways, this is a terrible pick and a waste of a spot. More than likely he won't make it on the Laker's the entire season so I guess.

Reaves and Hachimura took huge leaps after joining LA. Cam will likely excel in TBJ’s role. I blame teams like NYK and ATL for poor development overall. It’s guys on those teams who are plateauing atm. Phil Handy will definitely help improve. If Darvin believed that heavily in TBJ this season I expect the same if not more for Cam Reddish.

Phil Handy is the best in the business the Lakers wanted Cam for a few years now . I think he’ll a bounce in his career with the Lakers.
Cam Reddish has Andrew Wiggins' turnaround in him.

Now all we need is Dwight Howard 2.0. As quiet as it's kept, it was his defense on Jokic that allowed us to dominate and advance past the Nuggets in the bubble. We need a big as stout and athletic as Dwight to neutralize Denver this upcoming season.
Elite coaching will help Cam move closer to his potential.
Let’s not overlook the influence of Handy. He’ll improve offensively for sure.
Solid moves bringing Rui back then bring Jaxson Hayes into the fold. I think that Gabe fits their system better than Dennis as that makes Lebron the primary distributor, Gabe will have to become a more reliable 3 point shooter when Lebron drives and kicks out. I’m not sold on Prince. He’s solid but availability is a red flag at this point of his career.
I’ve never been a Reddish fan, but thought that he was starting to figure it out his last year in ATL. Those trades set him back big time.
This is Cam's (kind of) last shot, if Phil Handy, Darvin, Bron and AD can't get him to really commit, it'll say so much about the person. The player has untapped potential though. But if he has a bad year… he might as well start looking at owning a car dealership after this. I think it's a (pretty much) last chance, Kwame with Kobe type of thing… He has enough talent to be on par or better than even Rui of Austin but he's got to put in the work so if he doesn't…. Most teams won't want to touch him and he can join Dwight in Taiwan… (then again Dillon Brooks somehow got money so maybe I have no idea what GM'S want 😂😂)
I remember hearing on sports shows pre-draft that that Cam could potentially have a better career than Zion, and RJ.
