McDaniels will play more than 27 minutes a game, unless you’re accounting for foul trouble?

This is my attempt at the rotation for the upcoming season using 2K23.

It was tough trying to find minutes for Jaden and SloMo as well as the new guys. The minutes battle at PF & SF is gonna be tough imo. (unless injuries of course)
I can see McLaughlin or Brown Jr. getting some more minutes depending on matchups and slumps etc.,

    Thoughts?

Not Finch’s style to start 2nd quarter with starters. Also, KAT likes to play the whole 1st quarter, I’d bet Gobert will be the first on the bench.

It really highlights the weirdness of the roster makeup. In order to get minutes, Naz and SloMo both have to play outside of their best position. Minott and Miller have almost no shot to get time. And 2 or 3 perimeter players that have gotten used to decent minutes the past couple years are going to be collecting DNPs.

One thing, KAT usually has very good first quarters and ends up playing it entirely or subbing out in the final minutes for defense.

I think we’re going to see some weird looking lineups where Kyle is the de facto point. There’s no way Jaden is limited to 27min; barring foul trouble we want him seeing ~35 like ant. As others have said too, finch doesn’t start the second quarter with starters.

Ultimately, I’m not sure that NAW and Shake will combine for over 30 a night, and if those guys are getting decent minutes then Brown Jr will likely be an injury replacement guy, not a regular rotation player at 3min

Kyle Anderson is going to handle a sizeable portion of the backup PG role.

There is no way 3 starters get taken out after first 5 minutes in first quarter. Not how NBA rotations work.

I’d keep towns and Gobert unpaired as much as possible.

I’d imagine a 9 man rotation with any one of Edwards/Anderson/NAW/Milton sharing the back-up PG duties.

Would like to see Gobert’s minutes closer to 30 minutes as well hoping to preserve him for the home stretch.

You think Troy Brown is only getting a few minutes?

Ant will play 36-38 minutes, Jaden will play 30-32 minutes. Conley might only play 26-28 and Rudy might play around 30
