    I don’t see why not.

Give up the pretty much 20+ guaranteed PHX picks 2025/2026 and get a great player to go with Bridges as his 2nd punch.

Herro-Bridges-Johnson-Claxton sounds like a great combination for the near future, not championship contenders but they can easily keep building to the future.

best source in NBA news going right now, for sure some truth to it if he’s the one saying it

It all depends on the cost. Personally, I’m happy to give up Simmons. He has shown enough mentality issues that I’m not confident in him coming back strong.

The question for me is how many picks. I don’t want to give more than one of the Phoenix firsts. I just think they’re going to be too valuable. Maybe if we manage to trade Royce/DFS for less valuable firsts, we could use those.

But with the way Phoenix is gambling away their whole future (same goes for the Mavs), I don’t think it’s worth it to give up two of those picks for Herro.

Tyler Herro is basically a better Joe Harris that isn’t as good at three point shooting. He’s not the key piece that makes us a contender. If we’re sacrificing first round picks to get him, and we don’t have our own picks, he’s not part of the recipe.

2027 Philly pick and DFS or Royce. Throw in a 2nd if need be, but that’s it. Nothing more.

This is similar to the Harden trade where the Cavs made out like bandits for throwing in a pick. That’s all we’re doing here. Being the nice guys we are.

Keep Ben at all costs. Herro coming in means that we’re going to want the best defenders possible around him. If Ben is a dud, sure, but I’m willing to wait. Why rush in shipping him out? This is not a win now team.

But yes. I’m all in for Herro if it means Ben stays.

That’s awesome. I think he’d be a great addition to this roster and would help give the Nets a very formidable young core.

I totally get why some fans are concerned, but I think he’d be tremendous on the Nets and bring the team a solid scoring punch and some swagger.

But definitely think we can all agree that the hope is a deal gets done that doesn’t cost too much for the Nets by way of assets.

I know folks are split on giving up Simmons, but I think the “Ben10 comeback” ship has sailed. There’s just no evidence he’s ever gonna return to form.

Regardless, if DFS / Royce and/or Simmons and one or two of the lesser picks gets it done, that’d be gravy.

As always: In Marks We Trust.

  8. Looks like we aren’t looking to offload Ben either, purely looking for value.

Going to be hilarious when you guys give up Simmons + picks only to get a player who could be worse than Simmons next year after rehabing his injuries.
