Beck is so full of it, if this was 1 week before training camp Portland easily takes the deal of Herro, Jovic + 3 FRPs + 2 picks swaps. There is like 2 months and no one suffers yet, thats why this deal is not done, yet. 100% he goes to Miami.

Dame had the best year of his career after a full core surgery. He has at least three more All Star years left in him. It shouldn’t be easy to acquire the top five NBA player and his contract isn’t an over-pay.

Howard you are so slow. Try to keep up. Damian is stipulating he will only consider playing for one team and one team only. From all reports around the league Dame is not open to any team not named Miami. Stop trying to reference past players that wanted out and got traded to XYZ team because all of those players you mentioned did not stipulate they would only play for one specific team. All of the players you mentioned were open to possible trade destinations.

Howard, Dame does control a lot more than you give him credit for. When other teams not named Miami think he might be a problem on their team or refuse to show up or be a liability on the court, they are not going to trade away a star plus draft capital on a 33 year old pissed off player owed 216M over 4 years just because you think other teams will do it without regard to where Dame wants to play. You seem delusional to the real reality of how a situation like this works. What happened when Shaq only wanted to play for Miami? Where did Shaq land? Exactly why your wrong about all of these other teams might step up and out bid Miami for Dame. Same reason no other team outbid Miami for Shaq.

Look, Dame wont plY for anyone but Miami. We dont have to trade for him. All we need to do is tell Dame we will SIGN him to a vet min contract if Portland waves him. Is it tampering? Eh, we may lose a second rounder or two but we keep Dame and Portland pays his contract going forward. In this situation, just dont make an offer, trust Dame will destroy any chances of being traded elsewhere. He pulls a Ben Simmons, everyone turns on Portland and we offer them an out of the PR nightmare if they just wave Dame. In no way should we be shipping out ANYTHING other than Lowery, but we arent giving anything else and we arent paying Dame's contract going forward. Either Portland waves him or they lose everyone on their roster as none of them will want to stay there by doing Dame dirty.

Miami is wasting their time waiting for Lillard. We could of traded for Zach Lavine already, resigned Gabe Vincent and still have Jovic and Jaquez Jr. If we get Lillard, we wont have anyone else on the fucking team. We need depth and with Lillard, we wont have that.
What are other teams giving that’s better? I’ve heard nothing that like blows our deal away, the 76ers aren’t offering maxey, and sure if the jazz or nets wanna throw a bunch of picks at them that might be better, but idk why either of those teams would do that to finish middle of the conference for the two good years Dame has left.
