Scoot Henderson was picked as the third pick in the 2023 NBA draft by the Portland Trail Blazers but make no mistake, Scoot is also THAT dude. He may not be towering over his opponents like his Wemby, but in today’s NBA, scoring combo guards with an elite bag can essentially carry a team, and Henderson very much fits the archetype.

You see, the Charlotte Hornets were faced with a tough decision before the Draft, unsure of who to select as their coveted number two pick. They went the extra mile, organizing private workouts with the two promising prospects, Scoot and Brandon Miller.

But here’s the kicker, Michael Jordan and his front office ultimately placed their faith in Miller. The Alabama star secured a jaw-dropping rookie salary of $9,065,600, leaving Henderson feeling a little, shall we say, salty.

In fact, he wasted no time in snubbing Michael Jordan by excluding him from his all-time starting five. Now, Henderson was initially projected to be chosen after Victor Wembanyama as the 2nd pick, according to numerous mock drafts. But Miller, a confident and imposing 6-foot-8 Forward, suddenly stole the spotlight in the weeks leading up to the Draft. Now, that’s quite a plot twist.

    Wall and Rose had their careers derailed because of ACL tears. I hope Scoot stays healthy, his game is a lot like those two so I am a little worried.

    Calling 6'2" 196 lbs "impressive" is pretty strange. It's less than ideal. If you're gonna hype up his physical attributes, talk about his strong build and his wingspan. But his height and weight aren't "impressive" by any stretch.

    One legged landings is not a good look. 80's and 90's ballers always looked to land on two feet. MJ was a two feet lander. Scoots lands on one leg most dunks. I pray for his health.

    Maybe Scoots size had something do with it. 🤷‍♂️ Portland got a blessing and a curse at the same time. Props to the narrator of the video. I dig his style & flow. Seems like Dame took a shot at Scoot already. I could be wrong 🤷‍♂️. Stating in an interview. "During my time entering the league you had to earn your spot & time". "With todays draft picks if you go 1-6 its like they are handing you the keys to the franchise. Imo itd be nice to see them play together a couple games, but id also like to see DAme on a competitive team.
