  1. I love my celtics but another Irving trade is no better than waking up looking for a doctor with a discount std test

  2. Peace out, grant. He was a suped up semi or yabuselli. The celtics are better today than they were at the end of last season. The celtics got rid of the locker room idiots.

  3. This guy said…….Patty Mills……Ricky Rubio……as the first names to plug holes for the Celtics. 😂

  4. I bet the hold up is Harden. Does he want to go to Hou and does Brown want to go there if he does/doesn't? If we send Brown to Hou they send picks to a 3rd team that sends us a star. Lillard or maybe someone else. Getting more picks for Grant helps that though it hurts to lose him.

  5. Use the TPE and the 2nds to trade for Beef Stew. Better than Grant for $10M less per year, problem solved

  6. i think were focusing on playoff strength. we had no problem making it to the playoffs but at times had mismatches and tho Grant was an essential bench player in the reg season, he didnt get alot of time in the playoffs because of match ups. And i think since the story has been pretty much the same 2 years in a row, were trying to plan for that. not worth 40mil either as good as he is…

  7. The 35th pick, Grant and Smart for Porzingis the 25th pick, a 1st next year, two 2nd round picks, and a 7 million dollar trade exception. You do that deal all day, any day.

  8. I said it before and Im going to say it again…as long as Brad Stevens is with this organization we will never ever win a championship. Its going to be a long year!!!!!

  9. i really liked Smart. yes, he was the Heart & Soul. but Grant can play 3, 4 & in a pinch a brief stint at 5. im not saying i object. but, man.

  10. That’s why we got brissett.. you would expect professionals who cover basketball to know that or mention it and I’m not saying I like that we lost grant Williams because I don’t, I hated the fact that mazulla gave him DNPs and it wasn’t for some strategy it just showed how bad he was at rotations and sometimes questionable decision making that made him look like a rookie head coach, say what you want we put grant Williams on the
Best bigs and wings when he was in Al was on the best bigs bigs and they rotated that.

  11. Im convinced half the people in this comment section were repeatedly dropped on their heads as children. Idk how you could look at these off-season moves and genuinely think they made the team worse.

  12. He wasn't in the Celtics future plans anyway, so at least they got something. And it was also a really good trade for Dallas. I guess the Spurs got a vet presence in Bullock.

  13. Dumb takes saying Celtics got worse. The got better financial flexibility l, drafts picks and KP. A decent off season so far for the Stagnant Celtics

  14. The Celtics could trade a second round pick for Michael Jordan in just prime and Felger would say they lost the trade. They weren't gonna keep Williams so they moved on…

  15. Both floppers are gone…thats a positive.

He was emotionally out of control in too many situations.

  16. Time to get off the health narrative with Kristaps….Brittle!!!! His production numbers were elite. He played more games than most. Keep in mind that he also played in the World Cup games before the start of the NBA season.

  17. Marcus and Grant's departure means Stevens finally realizes / admits sometimes toughness and hardworking cannot make up for the lack of raw talent – which sadly is the case for these 2 beloved players. Smart is a forward disguised as a PG, Williams can only play 4, a position he is criminally undersized.
