Surprised they didn’t give him an extra year and more money. This seems like a slight overpay but a pretty solid deal. Easy match imo.

MATCH RIGHT NOW PLEASE I BEG YOU JOE THIS IS A NO BRAINER

Definitely an overpay, but the Blazers have nothing to lose with a long term rebuild. If Thybulle can develop a 3pt shot, he becomes a very solid starter.

I don’t mind the price point. Offensively he’s poor, but it’s not like offense has ever been our issue. He might even prove to be a good mentor for scoot and sharpe defensively even if he leaves after the 3.

Match it surely but that’s an overpay.

Easily bring him back at that price, will be a tradable contract down the line at the very least

    Match it.

Let him showcase what he’s got for his next contract in PDX then trade after some young development

Match It. we need a defensive identity. Even just having someone like him can mean a lot for guys like Nas when it comes to playing defense.

Easy match imo. We’re gonna be horrible the next two years regardless and then the third year he’s either worth the contract in which case great or not worth it in which case it’s easy to trade expirings.

  10. We should be aiming to be a cap space team for the next few years while Scoot is on a rookie contract, moves like this will not make it easier.

If we don’t match it’s cause cronin fucking hates goodwin right now

  12. Let me guess, we’ll match, and then trade him at the deadline for a 2nd rd pick?

I’m ambivalent as to if we retain Matisse. Obviously he’s a gifted defender, but his style is so unique I don’t know how much the young guys can learn from him. Not bad to have defense or even the presence of someone who cares about defense, but overall I don’t see him being a key part of this new era.

I really like Tise and Grant as vets on this team. Blazers will miss Dame’s voice this season and we need valuable vibe vets!!

Match the offer. Pump Thybulle’s value. Trade him midseason for more assets, if Nassir takes off.

Hmm, I would probably give this the full time before matching personally. In the hopes things get resolved with Dame to see what we are getting back. The reason is that if we trade Dame and get full salary in return we’ll be over the cap still and we’ll be limited with other moves. If we want to do any creative moves (like something for Ayton), we need the space.

    But I like Thybulle otherwise.
