Howard Beck on Locked on Heat – “You don’t send Lillard to Miami for a package of players and picks that is not worthy of him if you think it hurts your franchise”
They should just wait it out. Lets see how committed he is to only Miami a month or two from now. Whole thing is posturing anyway.

Howard Beck spitting facts. Anyone thinking Herro and Duncan for Dame is a fair trade clearly doesn’t value Lillard, and they need to have their heads checked.

Watch dame not get traded, decides to play with the team and we start the season 10-0..

“What up, Beck?” Thank God for rational insight compared to the talking head circlejerk that thinks we should send Dame with a gift basket in exchange for white simons and dryer lent.

Funny thing is Dame himself said what’s the point of him asking for a trade when they would have to gut the team to get him. Why wouldn’t he understand now

Once he starts missing the paychecks, it’ll get real fairly quick.
Love me Dame, but it’s time for us to rebuild and move on. Do best for the franchise.

Would you look at that

someone else mentioned CJ vs. Herro and I think that’s a good comp:
CJ at 24 (1st breakout year) per-36
21.4 points, 54.4 TS%, 4.4 assits, 2.9 FTA
Herro at 23 (this season) per-36
20.7 points, 56.6%, 4.3 assists, 2.8 FTA
His ast season was actually better
22.9 points, 56.1%, 4.4 assists, 3.7 FTA

As we know, despite our initial high hope, CJ didn’t really grow much beyond those stats. His career so far is: 21.8 / 4.2 / 55.2%
Early comp gave perhaps slight edge to Herro but he seemed to regress this year. These numbers and eye-test both indicate these 2 are the same mold of players which just don’t have a high ceiling in this league.
Ant is also in the same mold but one reason of hope is he has higher TS% (over 58% for the past 3 season), partially because of his elite 3pt in both quantity and efficiency.
