What are the Orlando Magic doing?

I seriously don’t understand the Orlando Magic front office and how they chose to approach the NBA draft this year. Maybe I’m missing something? Let me know if I am. Anthony Black alone was a great pic but him and Jett Howard? Doesn’t make sense to me what they are trying to accomplish with there roster.

Anyways, hope you enjoy, please like and subscribe so you can see my daily content!

  1. Jett Howard is a 2/3. Anthony Black played the 1, 2, and 3. And then Weltman said we aren’t going to factor in for position but postionless ball and versatility.

  2. Markelle and Black are true PGs and Cole and Suggs are more like shooting guards. We have had so many injuries that we need extra guards. Look at our 5 and 20 start last year. Its Fultz and Black at PG this season. Look for us to be active in FA for more wing help.

  3. Dude we had a 5 and 20 start and missed the play in by 3 games. Not even close is way off. Did you even watch the Magic last year. They were a 500 team after that horrible start.

  4. This positionless thing that they think is going to be so clever is going to look like pure stupidity. First off, black and fultz both can’t shoot. So basically you drafted a backup pg at 6 and both pgs aren’t a threat shooting wise. Unless you play black at the 2 but he’s not a 2, he just has height like a 2. Mind you, the magic main weak point is the 2 and they didn’t solve that problem this draft. JETT IS A FORWARD that can sometimes play the 2. He’s not a full time 2 guard at all.

  5. Easy to answer all your questions:
They are trading Suggs and Harris (not Cole).
Jett Howard is being developed as an SG.
Either via trade or FA, they are signing a shooter.
They will sign Kai Sotto from summer league.

  6. Everyone that isn’t a magic fan just don’t know shit lol you wanna think what we’re doing is weird but we started a rebuild a couple years ago.People hated the franz pick and look at that now lol don’t make these useless ass videos hating for no reason

  7. You said it Jalen Suggs is not the guy. Coke will stay because he comes of the bench. Markelle will have to battle for his spot. Jett and black will play some forward also.

  8. Tall? Check. Team first? Check. Can play and defend multiple positions? Check. This is the blueprint for an Orlando Magic player.

They are going to be tough to score on as they continue to get better and more experienced. Boston lost to them 3-1 in the season series because their size and versatility on defense makes them tough to play against.

As far as the scoring, it's gonna have to be a team effort. A lot of these players have some potential to become good shooters. But no more than like 3 players on this team can say shooting is their biggest strength.

This year is a prove it year for a lot of our players, until next off-season, it's actually a little ridiculous to think they'll move anyone right now if you follow the team closely. They clearly don't know the front office. They have always wanted to build through the draft and have this nucleous together.

In the next few years Jeff Weltman will prove himself to be a revolutionary or a complete fool. I don't know which yet, but I like what's going on here, despite a lot of it's optics.

  9. It's confusing to me that there are so many people who are lost on the magics gameplan. Currently, the magic have 2 positions that do not have long term solutions. PG and SG. Fultz is a good player, but he's more than likely not the long term solution. Suggs is a sg and the jury is definitely still out on him but more than likely is not a starter. Cole is a good backup pg but he is not a starter either. So keep drafting guards until you find your guys. What's so bad about that thought? We aren't going to draft in the lottery for backup forwards. Maybe some of those forwards will be better than Franz or Paolo, but A) I doubt it, and B) they are far from locks to be that. So therefore attempt to find starters at the positions you probably don't have starters for yet.

I get that you aren't high on either of the picks. The magic front office is though and have a much keener eye than either of us do. They also get to interact with these kids much more and have private workouts with them. The magic have hit on the last 4 picks. So I'm in on these two. Here's to hoping. Go magic and thank you for the content!

Lastly I want to point out that because of the versatility of the team(including the draft picks) players can come in at multiple positions. I expect to see Black play 1-3 and Jett 2-3. Fultz, Anthony, and Suggs all played both guard spots last year. Franz played 2-4. Paolo should be able to do a little bit of small ball 5 soon. This is very versatile group and it's very exciting. And who knows, maybe Blacks shot comes around. Or maybe Jett's defense comes around. We have no idea who these kids are yet. Let them get on the court then make your assessment
