The longer this goes…another team might sneak in with a better package. This has happened before. Don’t bet your life savings. Why doesn’t Portland deal directly with Brooklyn? You have repeatedly mentioned how this looks if Portland doesn’t accommodate Lillard…but last I checked…Portland puts a lot of respect on his checks. Portland can afford to wait for the haul. And that’s not good for Miami.

This is great for Heat but a sucker s deal for Portland. Portland get a good role player in Martin and that's it. The Heat get a 1st. superstar. You would have package Jaquez and Novic too. Plus with the trade package Ben could be moved to small forward or power forward which I think he's really a point forward and not a point guard. Portland needs talent at the small forward position, not a old pg. Miami doesn't want? The trade package that make sense is Damian, Nassir Little for Kyle L. Duncan R. Jaquez & Jovic plus picks. Then Portland trades Lowery for Hornets for Terry ROzier or Spurs for Dante Graham & Devin Vessell. Thus giving Portland a backup point w/experience Graham. Depth at small forward with Vessell/Robinson plus power forward depth with Jaquez and Jovic. Yes the Heat loses some depth but gain a superstar. Trade…done. You got to give to get the Heat!!!!!!
I think the 5 teams are the Nets, OKC, Spurs, Jazz, and maybe even the 76ers just because you’ve heard rumors of them interested in Dame but maybe they’re really just interested in getting Herro to pair with Maxey as the 76ers prepare to trade Harden … if it is the 76ers though Miami wouldn’t help them get Herro so that Herro could kill is in the playoffs .. but trading him to the Jazz makes the most sense because of all their picks they could send to Portland and Herro could replace Mitchell’s production
