I dont think jazz should build around Ochai. He is a good 3 and D player at most.
Get some sleep D Locke! I love you and everything you do but fuck me it's the offseason and for Gods sake the last Man you should be worrying on this planet earth is Ochai " Mini Giannis" Ogbaji! Enough said.
Rookie PG defense is really bad! There is a lot of work needed there!
The part that confuses me most about Ochai is that when he drives to the basket in iso or off a pick he drives real wide. He's athletic and strong and yet he can't or doesn't take a direct path to the rim and go through the defenders shoulder. He tries to go real wide and turn a corner which results in real odd runners and cross body scoop shots. Like I said he's athletic and strong and doesn't have a bad handle so I can see a world where he develops more but based on his age and current ability I fully expect him to be a 2/3 wing 3 and D guy. Which is totally fine. That position isn't as valuable as more of a 3/4 wing but it still has it's place in a rotation. He's great in transition both on offense and defense. Shows great promise from 3 both spot up and on the move. He can easily be a better version (especially on defense) of Malik Beasley and that's good.
Ochai should be traded, he should be dominating at this point.
The summer league was fun to watch last night. K. George shot 3's with ease.
