If you’re keeping track at home, the Thunder got FIVE second-round picks for taking on the contracts of Oladipo and Mills. Neither of which is making more than $10 million, and both of which are expiring contracts. This is some wizardry from Sam Presti.
Sam Presti an actual genius and I’m not exaggerating. Victor likely waived for bench spots but Mills can help this team or be traded during the season for more second rounders or maybe package 1-2 of these new seconds to get one first from someone. #chess

The real question is, what on earth will the Thunder do with all these picks? If my math is right, the Thunder now own 21 second round picks in the next 6 years (they already had 12 incoming picks and had traded away 2024 and 2025 prior to this summer per RealGM). This is in addition to 14 first round picks likely to convey (not counting Utah’s 2024-26 pick which is iffy given Utah’s rebuilding).
Now just need to rehab Bertans’ image and flip him at the deadline for more picks. The Sam’s Club Special
