Congratulations to Murray this is a great first step however I want the Hawks to be a contender instead of playing for the playin games

Him being a late first round pick and a late bloomer as well as his knee injury all came together to work in our favor. He only made 70 mil( feels wrong saying this) in his career because of the first two points so the guaranteed 140 was a lot more appealing when the contract was on the table to sign. Then I think him having suffered a knee injury and missing a year had to be in the back of his mind also. He could go into the season w/o the security , get hurt and never receive an offer like that again which we have seen happen before.

Woo! I think this is a bargain, and if it doesn't work out he is much more attractive to other teams locked up at reasonable money. I agree, this is a total slam dunk.
