I love how those uneducated bozos from r/nba thinks that Boston Celtics have such a good and fair offer around Brogdon + Timelord + 3 firsts but Miami package is trash and unfair to the league.
I really wanna see Dame with the Heat just to be the most hated team in the league again. Fuck those clowns.

They are so hurt
WheeinSpace
Damn they fucking hate us!
Also lol @ “unfair to Portland”
He gave them 11 years and they are shocked Pikachu face now that he’s seen through all their failures and lies.
Let’s just be real, they’re only saying stuff like this because it’s the Heat.

Those idiots suck Danny Ainge’s dick whenever he fleeces teams in trades which honestly we’re not offering that bad of a trade package for a 33 year old who will be making $60 million at 36-37. They talk shit about ESPN but constantly parade their talking points and HEAT hate. Fuck Boston! Fuck Philly! Fuck the Knicks! Fuck the Raptors!
sharpshooter0600
That trade was vetoed because the league owned the hornets at the time and they were getting trade rxped for 25 year old cp3
People always get it twisted lol it’s basically the same as if arison vetoed sending jimmy out for a first round pick and Ben Simmons

Adam Silver should spank Damian Lillards butt with a paddle until he squeals and says “sorry daddy I won’t be bad again”

Feels like super teams have been formed every season for a decade but now, it’s time to stop them.
Illustrious-Lime7729
They act like they paying the player out of pocket of something. It isn’t your money and the contract goes where the player goes, is not like the contract stays in Portland.
jperez09r
My Mans had “Adam silver should veto dame” and “I’m all for a nba stars going where they want”. This panic mode by r/nba is hilarious.

I wonder what these people would do if their jobs shipped them to Cleveland against their wishes.

This is the right take IF we get dame for a bag of chips. r/nba is going to complain regardless bc they undervalue our young players, but I think it will be a fair exchange including picks and a couple young players

This is revisionist bullshit.
Portland induced Lillard to re-sign by promising to use draft assets acquired through ”strategic” tanking to improve the team around him.
Then Portland traded for/drafted a bunch of guards.
Based on their own actions, Portland only promised him a Dame-centered rebuild so that they would not lose him for nothing.
Now, after squandering a good chunk of his prime and f**king gas-lighting him for years, they are shocked that he doesn’t want to help their lying asses.
“I love Dame but he shouldn’t have said he only wants to go to the Heat…”
STFU!
He did everything he could to help that organization. And they repaid his loyalty with dogshit promises that they did not keep.

What’s wrong with a superstar going to an 8th seed?
KayRay1994
i love that everybody forgot Dame re-signed cause Portland told him they’ll build a contender around him, then proceeded to use the 3 pick in the draft, then proceeded to give Grant 30mil a year making him the defacto #2

I do believe stern only had “veto” power was because he was technically the owner of the New Orleans franchise because they were league owned. Same power any owner has when a GM trades their players. They can veto the trade. It was only publicized as it was because the trade was agreed to and then went to the league office for stern’s “owner approval”. But if Cronin wants to trade Dame and trades him to the heat, then that is his prerogative.
Alexspacito
I don’t think this has anything to do with NBA vs Heat. If Dame is set on playing only for the heat, no other team will make an offer when he’s just gonna ask out ASAP. Heat can give the bare minimum and get a top 3 PG. Imagine what could happen to the league if players do this for LA or NYC or other big markets.

They’re just mad it’s Miami lol a few weeks ago we just wanted dude to request a trade… now they want him to rot in Portland lol
thor_1225
Does he know the commish only vetoed the cp3 deal bc the league was actively running the hornets (pelicans for those who don’t remember)

If Lillard chooses places like Celtics, Bucks, Lakers, or Suns, then I highly doubt people will make that much noise.
Affectionate_Grade80
People forget AD refused to even suit up the Pels rich Paul forced, David griffin to trade him to the lakers all because Lebron said so. And the media didn’t have a single problem with it. Quite opposite they celebrated AD for not playing like shame in the Pels. This time around it’s Shame on Dame. The league is just scared because they know if Dame comes down to Miami it’s wrap for the east and maybe even the west 💯
cph14
Team has to do what’s best for them. If the trade doesn’t work it doesn’t work. Make him play for you or sit out 2 years till he is a free agent. Don’t think he’d do that.
PangolinSea4995
It’s a business, Portland didn’t have to agree to the super max, and they don’t have to send him to Miami, and Dame can continue to not play defense

I don’t get why that’s funny. This sub post way dumber shit.
