Last year if Doc just played Bball the primary backup minutes from the start no one would complain about this signing. We don’t have Doc anymore and Nurse won’t stubbornly play a worse player.

Everyone is just waiting for a flashy signing, to see we resigned Trez after the news we’ve gotten lately of Harden and Tobi being upset is just a bit of a let down. Wouldn’t be shocked if we have almost the same roster as last year

Definitely a dramatic reaction, but it’s just indicative of bad team building. There’s a ton of halfway decent wings still out there that we actually need. Why are we bringing one of the worst defensive Cs in the NBA to be 4th on the depth chart (dear god he’d better be 4th) when we have such a limited budget?
I’m confident that Harden and Harris eventually get converted into depth pieces, but Morey…read the room. He opted out and everyone celebreated like we had snagged a huge FA. Bringing him back is just a morale killer. I know fans don’t equal team, but they do buy the tickets and the gear. Gotta keep us at least able to delude ourselves.

I wouldnt care at all about this signing if we weren’t already so old and slow. Literally pick anyone who’s young and athletic for those spots

Idgaf. I already erased trez from my memory of being a sixer. Morey committing terrorism by triggering my PTSD or watching this dude play. I thought we beat the trez allegations, damn.

I think the reaction is because this is a microcosm of the team building going on right now. Morey is continuing to sign guys he drafted/signed in Houston even if they’ve shown they can’t contribute to a winning team, instead of at least signing someone new that might be able to contribute.
