  1. When is he EVER happy. Who cares? This same fake tough guy CRIED on camera when Celtics traded him.Rondo consoling him. It's Personal bias

  2. In my Perk voice….Look I played with KD, Russ, James Harden, Lebron, KG, Paul Pierce. Look I knows what's I'm talking about 😂

  3. Kendrick is totally right The Celtics are losing the legacy of Tommy Heinson, BillRussell, Paul Pierce, Bird and McHale. They need grittiness

  4. smart and grant williams may not fill the box score but they gave their team the edge and fight that they need
And i am wondering who is gonna be that guy for boston now
On paper they got better by getting porzingis but I think smart and grant williams are the 2 glue guys and dawgs in the locker room

  5. GW put it upfront LY he thought he's worth $20m while his market value is about $10-15m. He had attitude (watch some of his play during reg. season esp after the neg fell apart) & discipline (went away with his diet plans & got fat again) issues. If I were GW I'd also think about why someone who never worked hard to improve his game like RW who made so many defensive switch & help mistakes should get $11m. I'd also think about, if I keep playing in the shadows of 2 Js under current team, he'd be 7th man at best & will never get to play up to a higher level as he'll only be 3rd-4th options at best. So I can see that it might not be in his best interests to stay if the price tag is not right & I'm sure Stevens & his team saw that as well. And, Grant did not have a great showing during this last playoffs to prove his value above $12m. Celtics appear to need more offensive power to relief the Js a bit more so no pt to match Mav's offer if GW has this mindset & attitude, where he will play games & force the team to trade him anyway.

  6. Perk doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The Celtics struggles were more offensive than defensive. A lot of time we build 15-20 point leads and blow them. That’s more about offense than it is defense. Zone defense which is a high school or college type of scheme has shot down the Celtics offense more times than I can count. As much as I love grittiness and heart and soul, none of that solves our offensive issues. What does solve them is having a 7’3” unicorn who you can put in the middle of a zone or at the very least you have a skilled big who Tatum can run pick and roll with who averages more points than Al and Rob combined. We need a big that can score in the paint and give this team some easier points. I know KP not Embid or Jokic but he’ll fit the bill. I have no issues moving Smart. I have more of an issue moving Grant as I think having him available to slide to that PF spot would have been critical to us if either KP or Rob gets hurt because it would keep Al as a back up big. Now with Grant gone, if one those guys gets hurt then your back to starting an almost 40 year old who already doesn’t play back to backs. My best hope here is that Walsh or Brissett can fill that void of Grant in their own way with impact if one of KP or Rob were to get hurt.
