I think he would be a tremendous fit in Memphis and it wouldn’t shock me if yesterday’s trade with Phoenix was a stepping stone for Memphis to go after OG. What do you guys think?

Kleiman said to expect no more big moves. Don’t think OG wants to play here considering he wants a larger role. He can go tank command elsewhere.

Yesterday’s trade doesn’t mean anything. They can aggregate the Christopher/Todd salaries if they can fold the trade into the Brooks S&T but besides that people are reading into it too much.

Why would Toronto make that trade with us? Like, these negotiations all involve a certain level of “*never make your competitor too much better than you are*” calculus. No team is going to do something as moronic as give us a defender as good as OG. If you’re a GM, would **you** do it? Would **you** give us that missing component that makes the Grizzlies a once-in-a-generation impenetrable defense? If you’re the GM who makes that trade, every other GM around the league will stop taking your calls for anything.
Either we pick up a fantastic FA defender or we develop one in-house and all signs point to the Grizzlies doing the latter with Roddy.
