I really think this could be a bounce back season from him. He still has all the tools. He just wasn’t able to focus on basketball last year with his personal issues.
I’m excited to see if the Mavs can help fix his game. His first two seasons with the Kings he averaged 13/8 and 1.7 blks on like 64% shooting. Kings thought his contract was a steal at the time. Mavs wanted to sign him that off-season too.
Hopefully his regression with the Kings was more a result of the changes Sabonis’s arrival had on the team’s offensive schemes than struggles he might have had based on his eye injuries.

Is he better than DP? Why is everyone so bummed out about him possibly being our starter? They say 6”10 but I heard he’s really 6”8 isn’t that undersized for a starting center?Idk I hope he surprises people and turns out to be really solid for us
I really hope we hold onto him for this season. I think he can be a positive impact.
If he ends up being the starting center, he will almost certainly be a significant improvement. Doesn’t mean we should stop looking but I’d be content.
