Tatum is great and has had a ton of early success, but it really shouldn’t be a discussion. He can’t playmake and is too inconsistent.
IMO if you swap Luka and Tatum, the Celtics are multiple time champions over the last few seasons.

Luka is a much much better offensive player. More consistent. Much much better playmaker. Absolutely controls the pace of the game.
While Tatum is the better shooter, Luka’s shot-making can just be so so absurd. He creates easy looks for himself so so easily and makes tough shots look easy.
Luka been a consistent 30 ppg threat since his 2nd year in the league. Tatum has only been doing that for 2 years.
The only thing Tatum really got is being a good strong defender.
