[Marc Stein] In Marc Stein’s latest column, he reports that the Mavs have likely moved on from Theo Pinson and trading Tim Hardaway Jr. And either trading or waiving JaVale McGee remain “expected moves” for the Mavs.

I don’t think Theo Pinson really entitled to a “moving on from” comment.

Cleveland was interested last year. There HAS to be a Jarrett Allen deal somewhere

Why would you release McGee at this point? Not like it opens up money to do anything.

He also mentions Wood has generated no interest and has only received league minimum offers

I fear that it is time for Theo and Frank to learn Chinese

Just being Boban back and we’re square

I would keep McGee and sign Christian Wood to the minimum.

The Seth contract doesn’t make much sense if Timmy is still on the team. I’m curious how either teams value THJ.

This is some serious titlegore lmao, and all that it took was one accidental capitalization (probably autocorrect after the period for Jr.).

    >the Mavs have likely moved on from Theo Pinson and trading Tim Hardaway Jr.

    Sentence one.

    >And either trading or waiving JaVale McGee remain “expected moves” for the Mavs.

    Sentence two.

Very different meaning than when the sentence is read all as one, haha. I came into this thread confounded as to why the Mavs were giving up attempting to trade THJ. Glad there was a screenshot there to set me right.

I read that as they’ve moved on from Theo Pinson AND from trading THJ. Scared me for a second.

Not a ton of great options for moving Timmy without giving up significant assets and still getting back someone who could possibly help this year.

TOR: for Otto Porter Jr and Thad Young

    DET: for Alec Burks

IND: for Daniel Theis and Jordan Nwora

    ORL: for Gary Harris

    SAS: for Cedi Osman

I think waiving McGee at this point is even a positive… he’s so useless that saving any money, even a few cents in cap space makes it worth it.

Honestly, moving THJ without getting a C seems dumb to me, so we have to move Holmes to get anyone reasonable, im scared they might be hesitant to do that after him helping us. Unless we resign CWood and try and bring his value back up for the midseason and then do a CWood+Holmes package and try and get a C and move THJ now to get a SF or a PF

He had played well in the playoffs and we were utterly spanked by Looney so our minds and judgment were clouded.

  15. Wave his untradable contract and write up JKidd lol. Worse signing that Bertans
