Kyrie holds his own destiny. He can ask for a sign and trade to the Suns for DA so the Mavs don't lose him for nothing especially after giving up so much to get Kyrie. Or Kyrie can sign outright with the Rockets and Mavs lose him for nothing. And if Mavs lose him for nothing, they're definitely going to be in rebuild mode and Luka could ask to be moved.
Dallas might give him the money but I don't think he has the best chance to win in Dallas. I think he wants to be somewhere where he can can have both.
Beggars cant be choosers. The fact that we dont want to doesnt amount to anything, if Kyrie wants to dip, do the fucking sign and trade and move on. We got young players, develop a core instead of looking for mercenaries to be a big part of a team. We aint California or New York.
