The Hawks’ Future Remains Bright Despite Loss of Collins; Major Trade Coming????

Success does not always look like winning a championship. Sustained winning can be just as valuable and the Atlanta Hawks have not just done that but they have acquired a a great caste of talent and cap flexibility to ensure they remain playoff competitive for the foreseeable future. The recent departure of John Collins will certainly be felt as the longest tenured Hawk player, leader, and physical reinforcement for Tre Young but Jalen Johnson, Onyeagwa Okongwu, and Saddiq Bey are all more than ready to step into that void and that is possibly the greatest strength of this team, it’s depth. In the past the lack of talent on the roster left the Hawks organization in a position where they had to potentially pay above market value to retain players and now they have the depth to decide which talented player to keep and has greatest value to the future of this team. In fact, they are so deep, they may look to package some of this talent and bring in another star player before having to pay in-house free agents in the summer of 2024/25. One thing is for certain, the Hawks are not going anywhere, I fully expect coach Quinn Snyder to have them optimizing this talent and looking to make another run deep into the playoffs next season.

Tre Young is STILL the Future for the Atlanta Hawks!
