When will we return to playoffs 2025?
If the Damian trade goes through, it will be an in instant rebuild with Jovic and JJJ coming onboard.
Rebuild are a lot easier when you know that one guy is a sure fire superstar vs having 3-5 guys who may be great someday if everything falls into place.
Scoot is a Bona fide superstar. And anyone who watches him play can see that despite the little mistakes.
It also helps when got Simons whose already proven
So the only guy whose a maybe out of the 3 is shaedon and he’s trending very aggressively in the star direction even if he doesn’t hit his absolute peak
If Portland gets a very good return for Dame it’s hard to pick that many other teams I’d rather be when it comes to rebuilding.
Maybe okc and Cleveland but they are already trying to win
Houston is debatable. I really like a few of their guys but idk if I would take any of them over 8 years of scoot and you can argue that shaedon had more upside than any shooting guard or forward they have.
Only thing I worry about shaedon is his motor. He looks too non interested when he’s not getting the ball. He needs to play with a higher motor on and off the ball on both sides. He sometimes looks like a sloth out there
The problem isnt the "rebuild" with young guys. Its this stupid front office and owner COULD NOT AND WOULD NOT TRY to build around Dame. On the .000001% chance Scoot is better than Dame in 5 years, what makes you think they will fix the issues we have had over the past 10 years.

Everyone put the breaks on for Scoot! He is great young talent but his reckless play has made him a highly injury-prone player! He has already dealt with some injury issues while playing in the G league! Then he comes in and gets hurt again! These were issues about his game that were talked about in Predraft!
Dame who? They got their replacement in scoot I honestly think he has the potential to be just as good as dame.
