I feel like we are seeing injuries in SL to top picks more and more often it seems. Im sure it’s all about precautions, load management and all that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something else to it in the sense that the draft process and preparation is longer and tougher for these kids than ever before, so they don’t really do much training and then they practice for like 5 days tops (Wemby never did) and go straight to Summer League games. These games are so meaningless, we should just let these youngsters get a healthy full off-season and practice longer with their main team in September/October.
