Honestly that seems like a long contract at this stage. But I think it would’ve been a mutual decision between Pop and the FO to just shut down all the media speculation of every year being his last.
This just makes it clear what many of us have already said: He is our coach from now going forward. That will change at some point (I suspect before those 5 years are up) but there is no point speculating until it happens.
That’s a lot of fine wine and fancy dinners he can buy with that money.
