Do the Philadelphia 76ers actually HAVE to trade James Harden this offseason?

  1. Just not going to be much of a market for a player who super sucks in the playoffs, has demanded to be traded three times from three different teams in three years, is definitely on the decline with frequent injuries, and refuses to listen to coaches.

  2. Everyone keep saying "he lost a lot of money by not opting out" last year but that is a ridiculous and inaccurate statement because at NO POINT was anyone offering a MAX CONTRACT given his age and decline in production… Sure the Nets may have a few years back but that was when they had Kyrie & KD in tact… but once that band dissipated there was no MAX in stored for Harden by Bkn or by anyone else for that matter… Therefore, he is mad at the Sixers as if he sacrificed something tangible and the Sixers "owed" him a Max when that is NOT how the chain of events came down… As of last year, his ceiling salary wise is AT MOST $40mill/year at 3-4 years max!!! The fact that he tricked himself into thinking there was a $50m/4yr pending for him is on him, not on Morey !!!

  3. I get wanting to hold out on trading James Harden hoping for better offers, but the reality is that he has 1 year left on his deal and can no longer extend anywhere once traded. Opposing teams have no choice but to treat trading for him as a rental, hence why the offers just aren't going to be great. The offers will get even worse once the season starts, because no training camp and less viable teams will want him.

The best thing the Sixers can do is hope a scenario develops where trading Harden can get them the pieces necessary to then trade for Dame, if that doesn't happen then they either need to cut their losses, trade him and try to get some pieces they can build with going forward, its that or just sour that relationship with Harden and let him pout all year like Ben Simmons… but that is just wasting yet another year of Embiid and then they lose Harden for nothing the next offseason.

  4. Or do you say as the Thunder did, let’s blow it up and start again? Just puttin it out there as an option? Maybe you can start the processs again😂

  5. 34mil and hes butt hurt. Think about that for the av Joe making 15 bucks a hour. This dude has enough money for 10 lifetimes

  6. It always amazes me that these adult men making millions just sit out games to get their way. I’m glad to see that some teams are being hesitant trading for these stars so their behavior isn’t getting rewarded

  7. i feel like Clippers need to trade Paul George for Harden. trade Mr Load Management i don't know for a 68 Chevelle a bag of chips with some avocado dip and maybe someone blue collar that plays his ass off instead of working a warm spot on that bench.

  8. I dont think Harden cares about the money at this point. Becoz if he did, he wouldve stayed with a team and not chase to join a contender.

  9. If you dont trade Harden, hes gonna get super fat like he did for the rockets and force his way out

  10. I don't think Harden can afford to tank a year right now, if his goal is to get paid. He is old, losing a step, has a bad rep, and doesn't really have star power trade value right now. If he wants one more bag, he needs to show up and show out.

  11. Idk how I feel about this man. I feel like the only option to actually win a chip is to get Lillard. Yea Joel was the MVP. But he has to STAY HEALTHY! And especially in the post season. What’s the point of making a great team around him. If he was scoring a little more than 30+ a game on his MVP season. And scores 15 20 in the playoffs. Last year did the same. When you make him a focal point. And the cornerstone of the offense. Harden had to honestly give his all from an older player standpoint. Gave you 42 the first game and I think 30 something the next. And when Joel came back he went back into the facilitator that got him the leader in Assists. And honestly one of the reasons Joel got that MVP. You should keep him and get a couple more pieces. And actually let him cook too. Not play a certain way to benefit Embid. He says he wanted to leave because he didn’t have as much freedom. I feel like if compromise and give that and form and offense around those two. It’s would be crazy. Only thing is your gonna have to pay him this time lol. Simple as that. He took a pay cut. He just wants his money that I believe he’s worth. But then maybe he just wants to leave and if he does that a bad look on him because it would be 4 teams in 3 seasons. Like bro wyd. Gonna be a harder and harder decision as the seasons go by if you just up and leave whenever you want. Just stick with a dang team lol

  12. 76r's made a mistake on the sign & trade imo. If Hardin stays, he won't put forth much of an effort next season if history is any judge?

  13. Friggin idiot putting Embiid on the pedestal like we would lose everything if Embiid wants to leave. First of all, He is a loser, always been, even at his peak, he got outplayed repeatedly by smaller bigs, including Siakim, Hotford 2 times. If we didn't win in playoffs, Embidd is one of THE Reasons. Secondly, it is idiotic to think it is a big risk to lose Joel. If he lose again this year, it is his fault, not anyone else's, and at 30, please feel free to walk. We will still get a ton of assets for him, and he will decline like crazy soon after reaching 30

  14. Portland Receive:
    Maxey
5 1st rd picks (3 from Philly + 2 from Clippers) all unprotected

    LA Clippers Receive:
    James Harden

    Philadelphia Receive:
    Damian Lillard

  15. Better trade that man. James harden has silent quit on two teams, that’s how you got him. By the trade deadline he’s gonna fully quit. He’s expiring, teams won’t overpay for him regardless.

  16. I really do believe in maxet but i also think embiid and dame would work well together. Seems to me mr harden is the only question mark. Maybe its time he gets the sixth man treatment and just moves to the bench.

  17. No one want that Diva…if i was management i will trade harden to Shanghai Sharks 😂😂😂

  18. People are starting to realize there’s no point in trading for James harden because he has a history of forcing his way out of teams and if he don’t he will not play to his potential until you trade him. Philly is stuck with him until his contract is up
