Somewhere Mike Malone is on social media plotting on JJ lol. Denver who?
It's simple, they traded Westbrook. Westbrook is the most inflexible star in the history of basketball. His skill sets can only work with certain types of player. And he only works when he's the main ball dominant player. On top of the fact that he's turned over prone and out of all the top 75 players, he has the lowest IQ out of all of them. It's like a car that only runs fast and one direction but takes up a lot of gas and doesn't have dexterity
Lakers still need a center tho the Hayes dude isnāt really a center
Lakers werenāt a contender
Idk how Tim wasn't one of the guys to be fired. He is actually the worst always bad vibes.
Tired of the talking heads pushing the flipping Lakes or Suns or Boston. Stop it, just stop.
There not a contender? LOL
Rockets did a horrible job signing two of the worst volume shooters last year in the league to massive contracts
The laughing stock of the NBA lebron James got the broom, and the nuggets and Mike Malone made fun of him.I don't like what the coach did to lebron.
So when things go wrong itās le-gm fault, things go well and good job pelinkaā¦ā¦.see how that donāt make sense
I have a hard time listening to basketball takes from dudes who canāt and have never been capable of going out and performing on the floor themselves. I just donāt think you can break down ball without actually playing it. Curious to see other peopleās takes
Windy has so much insigh and has been in the management game for a while, im really curious how he would be as a GM š
A WCF team is a disaster now lol smh
Is windy on lebrons payroll, secretly?
If you canāt win a game off the champs in your own conference are you REALLY a contender?
Bringing back D'lo at any price us the definition of stupid.
Loves Lebron like Nick Wright
JJ''s opening comment '… because they didn't do anything stupid'' meant that either LeBron kept his nose out of the Trade Deadline and/or Rob Pelinka didn't listen to any fantastical ideas LeBron might have had (see the Russell Westbrook experiment).
This is the first time I really saw how informed and knowledgeable Brian is, in this format, he has the time to convey his thoughts at length in a relaxed, unhurried setting. Great content here.
Westbrook
as soon as the power came back to Rob Pelinka after that trade to Westbrook by LeGM everything works again
Lmao now we're just going to call them contenders because of a few role playersšš lebron and AD still made of glass. Sports journalism is pathetic.
How?
Wendy is a NBA savant!
0:13,šÆšNothing stupid. And a run at a fifth world championship for the GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! King James!!!šÆ
Whenever he speaks I think of the movie Money Ball
Cmon Windy – It's not a coincidence that when Darvin Ham arrived in LA and started to be involved with personnel decisions suddenly Pelinka "magically starts" making good decisions. Pelinka didn't get suddenly smarter. Darvin Ham is the mastermind I think..when Pelinka was on his own you had the disaster of the last off-season.
how the lakers became contenders suddenly
one answer: the refs
He looks like CM Punk of AEW.
Love to see everyone hyping Lakers..again….Mr. Street Clothes and LeBron…might still need to play more than 50 games…
Love me some windy!!
Why does Lebron not like Brian ? Because he's white ?
That time dude is a hater
Windy has been a legend in his own with how consistent he is and non bias he is.
Bontemps was not correct. Windhorst does point out the Lakers did somethings that are worthwhile in their signings. Moving Westbrook was a good start. Not overpaying D-Lo was also smart, for now. The Lakers might not be Champion level with these players, but they will compete and trading is still open to them.
Disaster is a lil much
This is great, I thoroughly enjoy whenever Ian Rappaport makes an appearance on The Pat McAfee show to talk about contract structure, draft capital and just general NFL business dealings. This is the NBA equivalent of that and JJ is the perfect co-partner in this dynamic for Windhorst, JJ is probably one of the few guys that will pick up on the intricacies of the deals that are being made.
Its like value investing in stock market, estimate the value of players and try to pay less than market value to get a margin of safety in case you're wrong/injuries/regression…….and don't give Gobert 200 million over 4 yearsš
Lakers are not contenders
Lakers are gonna be scary next year
