The 2023 NBA draft was super-deep. I think that in an ordinary draft Siddy would have been a first-rounder. Don't let his being the 44th overall pick fool you and let's remember that 2022 NBA Hall of Fame inductee Manu Ginobili was a 56th overall draft pick.
I really like sidy. Didn’t even think he’d go second round. He’s scalability and competitiveness is extremely useful that I think he could work his way on a roster spot sooner than we think.

This guy is a physical stud at his age. He's a versatile defender with legit passing abilities and court vision. He's rapidly improving as a ball-handler and regularly throws down absolutely monstrous transition dunks. As he continues developing his 3pt shot, especially off the catch, he will be a viable Wing/Guard with a ton of defensive versatility.

I think he’s probably here to replace/fill Romeo Langford’s role. Cheaper, healthier, defender, younger, same offensive limitations for now, and plus he can help Wemby as a French running mate. They can acclimate together.
I love Romeo, but I also understand the logic and thought process of Cidy replacing him, if necessary.

I think Sidy has a floor of a solid role player, and ceiling of a starter. I think at this point trying to figure out a lineup is a mystery. Possibility is 1-3. I have watched so much, that I have all questions and few answers. I kind of hope his point skill explode, would be interesting. The future is exciting- feeling like a kid. Good stuff.
