The OKC Thunder shocked the world last season when they not only made the play-in tournament but were just one game short of the NBA playoffs.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander solidified himself as one of the best players in the entire league by making All-NBA First Team, Josh Giddey continues to prove the doubters wrong through this stellar performance, and Jaylen Williams broke out in his rookie season and legitimately looks like a future star.
The scary thing is that they defied the odds without having Chet Holmgren, a player that will bolster their front-court and open up a completely new dimension to the team’s offense. In this video, we’ll look into how Chet Holmgren’s potential impact on the Thunder next season, and this team as a whole should be feared.

“Cason” Wallace
Great vid
If he stays healthy he’s gonna be a problem
A lot of things need to go right, but I see the Thunder being a top 4 seed for the next few years. Shai is a great leader that every team needs. JDub is an all star in the making. Giddey is going into his third year and seems to be progressing every year. If he pushes up his 3PT% he’s going to be close to a 20ppg player with elite passing. Chet will come in and completely change how the Thunder can defend and rebound. I’m not so worried about his offense because he has Giddey to help him get to his spots. The defense will be so much more sound. Dort’s role on offense will shift to a spot up corner guy, where he should thrive. And his defense will combine well with Chet. And the bench is just scary looking right now. Your choice between a defensive ace in Cason, a three ball guard in Isaiah Joe, or the euro league MVP and champion Micic. JWill and KRich are fundamentally sound and leaders in the front court. Wiggins is a very dependable slasher and all around good player on the wing. Tre Mann is solidifying his roster spot during this summer league. If he comes into the year with the same fire, he’s going to add another dimension to potential rotations and possibly become the player we thought he was after his rookie year. Poku, Dieng, and JRE will be the big questions the Thunder need to answer this off-season and during the season. The FA pickups are assets at this point, and we will see how the Thunder use them.
At this point, if you’re a fan of the Thunder, I only see positives and potential dynasty in the future. They still have so much draft capital that we may never see another rebuild look so beautiful again.
Jalen Williams is literally better than Giddey and Chet but he’s never in the thumbnail graphics for these OKC videos 😂
We about to go on the run we should have years ago. Watch out for OKC
Having just watched Chet in person at the summer league game against Memphis I'm pretty doubtful that he is going to make an impact. His twiglike frame gets thrown around like a rag doll. For the 3 blocks and 2 steals he had he also managed to turn the ball over 6 times. 0 for 4 from three according to the box scores, but it was more like 0 for 5 as he barely stepped over the line on one attempt. For the OKC fans lets hope the kid puts some meat on his bones. Without some mass a light windstorm could cause a season ending injury. I'm not saying he won't eventually be good, but it seems he has a long road ahead of him.
405 WE WIT EM THUNDER⛈️UP‼️
We are on the way
I’ve got them at 6th in the west barring injuries to major players
It feels like Presti has reacquired the 2012 Thunder team except with more offensive ability/consistency all around the team. Ibaka was not as gifted offensively as a young player as Holmgren projects to be, JW is showing flashes of playmaking like a young Harden, Giddey is less athletic but has higher IQ at this stage than Westbrook and SGA is taking the KD role very efficiently. With all this and the draft stock that can be traded or utilized, it's time to get excited. It's been a tough several years as a Thunder fan but the ceiling for this team is DYNASTY!
Good breakdown🔥🔥
Chet Holmgren seems like one of those players with glass ankles
7:50 *Cason Wallace, not Carson
Cason not Carson lol
I keep seeing these Thunder videos saying they're gonna do this and that…
You need veterans to go anywhere, a bunch of early 20s players aren't beating Steph, Bron, Giannis, etc…
Tbh the thunder aren't scaring anybody but they do have some interesting talent with Shai and Chet
