  1. Obi is my guy that's is nasty move to mistreat this man older brother, make it seem the younger brother is better the ny knicks doesn't no how to manage there player this is respect

  2. Yo they made seem jocab is a better player than obi, they did the same thing to cam reddish this all thibs get rid of this man

  3. glad you didnt mention anything about the summer league team..pretty garbage

  4. My guy, you dont think the knicks tried to do the things you mentioned like trading or receiving first round picks??

  5. I really haven’t been too critical on the Knicks brass, but picking Obi Toppin top 10 and giving him away after a few years is a major blunder!

  6. This deal was to make Obi happy. He wanted to go to Indiana so the Knicks gave him what he wanted even though it meant them getting screwed in the process. Troy doesn't understand how the Knicks made this deal. It was to satisfy Obi more than anything.

  7. You're dramatizing this scenario. The Knicks did Obi a favor. They sent him where he wanted to go.
Obi Toppin, was supposed to start for the Knicks. But Julius Randle played his brains out.
    Don't over dramatize it.

  8. They not only got nothing…. But, they traded Obi during the first season of Tournament Play…. Wow! The Garden May Fall… I'm working on it

  9. This trade was a salary dump. I'm in Obi toppin fan. But you can find a lot of obi toppin style players out there.

  10. Wasn’t he due for a contract ? I’m a toppin fan but I’m sure they know what they doing. I’m a die hard Knick fan and i trust in Leon !!

  11. No way obi stays with Tibbs as coach. Tibbs is like Pat Riley and Jeff Van Gundy. Young players don't play for about 2 years.

  12. The Obi Toppin trade was furiously pushed by the coach. This coach is going to experience a setback this year. This trade is going to come back and embarrass the knick front office for allowing Thibs to control them. In the 2022 draft, the knicks would not use their first round picks because they know that thibs wouldn't use the player or develop the player. Thibs would waste the pick. I can see Obi going on to become a very good player for Indiana. As of now our summer league team looks the worst. Give Thibs enough time and he will ruin the knicks furture.

  13. Stupid trade done by a stupid team. Winning teams never do these stupid things! Can't understand why. Toppin played well.

  14. Great commentary and analysis in breaking down the Knicks doing business. Are the Knicks being Foolish with the Toppin family, thats what it looks like. Yet and still the Knicks are being Foolish to themselves, the front office basically gives Toppin away, and plays a game on his brother. Other foolish things you have 7 guards at least as we speak, and you should have kept Rose or at least made a trade that involved Rose and Fournier if you were thinking about trading for Tobias Harris or any one whose contract runs out next year and makes big money. If we wanted Tobias thats how you do that deal, now they would have to add draft picks or a rotation player. The franchise we root for are looking mighty Foolish right now, and a trade is coming, i just hope we don't look like fools again

  15. I can’t understand why we gave Obi away for nothing without giving him an opportunity at small forward or Randall at center and Obi at PF with a small lineup ? Makes no sense for a #8 pick. Someone within the Knicks must have let out they were desperate to move Toppin. Those round 2 picks are a waste. Very disappointed Leon let this happen. He’s smarter than that!

  16. This knew that Julius Randle leg was hurt and he could take him out of thegameand put oli in but he didn't do it and that was selfish.

  17. None of Knicks pick never be nothing in the league or anybody they trade always be the end of there basketball career

  18. I have the opposite take on Obi. I think the Knicks wanted to retain Obi, and I think signing his brother was a hope they had to entice him to stay. When he still asked to be moved, Jacob gets changed to a 10-day (I'm guessing this is what you'll say in this video bc I heard 10-day – in other words, they're cutting him loose). Knicks didn't have to get rid of Obi. Especially for that. They could have said no. Makes me think they did it "for" him, out of respect for him to allow him a chance at significant minutes to increase his value before his contract is up. I have always heard that this FO truly valued him. And, they knew if they kept him his value would probably stay around the same. They did right by Obi in this regard. They took the hit for it, much as I'll miss him.
