Clippers fans have already warned us that he’s washed. At this point he’s just a big name

  2. Not unless you’re trading Brogdon for a lower salary player. I just don’t see it being viable unless he bounced back from where he was last season, in a significant way.

EDIT: Or if you trade PP since there are currently 4 guards on the roster

  3. hypercafspazz

PP would immediately demand a trade and the franchise would lose credibility imo

Minimum deal as someone who can soak minutes if injuries hit, I’d take him. He’s not taking anyone’s minutes so I’m not sure what the concern is about him coming in behind White/Brogdon/PP.

I wouldn’t mind. He still has far above average playmaking ability, even if the scoring is completely and utterly washed. If he’s okay with a vet minimum and 10-15 mins max per game, then idc.

For the cheap why not? Facilitator who can get to the rim without getting his cookies taken regularly. We need someone who can confidently handle the ball.

He’s not an NBA player anymore. If you watch some tape of his last two seasons he chucks up mid range shots, can’t defend, and is an inefficient scorer. I get that he’s a cool name and we remember when he was incredible, but he just isn’t that player anymore. I just don’t see the upside. At this point, Kemba or Isaiah would be better fits and they wouldn’t see a single minute.

Yes, especially after seeing what JD Davison showed in Summer league so far.

He’s a talented player. As long as the Celtics are only asking for say 10 or 15 minutes a night, he may be worth a shot.

I’m good, especially for the role he’d be coming in for. I would much rather bring in Jay Scrubb for that last roster spot. He’s showing really nice shot creation and shot making ability, plus he’s just 22, so there’s still more upside there too.

We have a thin guard rotation. White is good, Brogdon is good when healthy, and PP is okay. Brown can slot in as a guard, but not a point guard or distributor.

Wall would be the best passer and playmaker on the team.

Why wouldn’t we add him as a depth rotation guy on a reasonable contract?

It’s not like he’s coming in as the starter and making $25 million.

Rather have him in the playoffs over pritchard tbh

You know…screw it why not, if he’s on a veterans minimum it’d be cool. It’s not like he going to need to play 20+ minutes every night.

At least it wasn’t a post asking about IT but then again I just got on reddit today

On a minimum, why not? Worst case he stinks and you cut him mid way through the year and get some other warm body.

And ya he’s not a great shooter, but with the shooting the c’s have at center you can get away with a bad shooting penetrating guard.

  16. CBFball

As others have said – If he wants to be a vet min guy and ring chase (basically fill Blake’s role from last year but for guards) I’m down

  17. DerelictDonkeyEngine

Unless it’s a minimum contract, hard no. Even then, probably still a no.

  18. GibbsYeetem

Clippers fan here dont do it he will just chuck 3s and make yall rage.

  19. CommunityGlittering2

Don’t know I wasn’t invited to the private workout

Wall could still be a positive in the transition game on a second unit during the regular season. If, God forbid, he had to run with the 1st team due to injuries elsewhere, I think he would be a far better initiator of offense than Jaylen Brown. Let’s face it, Brown shouldn’t be counted on to handle the ball in any capacity. If it doesn’t work, cut him loose, or maybe another team at the workout gives up one of those crucial 2nd rd pick swaps Stevens seems so enamored with. I don’t see a downside with Wall as a 4th guard, given the compensation reflects his standing.

No. I don’t think he has anything to offer on an nba team. He’d be welcome on my ymca team
