Just rip it off like a bandaid you pussy

  2. Driew27

Definitely sounds like Cronin is pushing for Jovic and Jaquez and Riley is only giving Portland one of the two at most.

  3. And the longer it drags out the more likely it is that another team says “fuck it” and tries to trade for him.

  4. TrashAssRedditAdmins

I mean Portland wasn’t getting many good or star free agents before but they definitely not going to get anybody moving forward

  5. Dek-234

Trying to actually be competent for once after doing nothing for Dame the last decade

  6. santana722

Ah yes, the “solution” that’s worst for both teams, Dame, Tyler, the young guys, etc. You want the players that *know* they’re getting traded coming and practicing? Is that gonna be good for team atmosphere and Scoot’s development Joe? Does Dame need to do Jimmy Butler shit in practice to get Joe Cronin doing his job?

  7. Consistent_Category9

He’s bluffing. He know his situation is terrible if Lillard remains in Portland against his will. I don’t think Dame will be worth this much in the trade deadline

  8. XanderAndretti

We knew he was going to say some shit like this, dude is just posturing he has nothing left to do.

  9. RansomGoddard

What else is he going to say? He’s not going to come out and say “I’m going to take whatever offer is on the table within the next week or so.”

  10. Phenom_Mv3

‪Dudes tryna stay in the spotlight as long as he can before he inevitably goes back to being irrelevant ‬

  11. Now he’s saying that they’re open to keeping Dame. Wtf is this dudes deal?

  12. Background_Action_92

Stupid ass joe, why you doing the most when yall know very well that Portland is gonna be bad wither way

  13. Trying_My_Best_Man

Anyone who expects Lillard to be in Heat training camp is going to be disappointed. I’ve thought for a while there’s no way this gets done in the offseason.

  14. OkSector2732

This was his philosophy on surrounding Dame with star talent

  15. antalvarez_

yeah this seems to be a power move to get us to give them more aka jjj and jovic plus picks. What he doesn’t realize is he’s fucked because no other GM will trade for Dame. He can say it will take months but at the end of the day lillard will be a Miami Heat.

  16. celobenicio

Aight man, I’m moving on. This dude has no intention to trade Dame to us, and he sounds salty af… if anything, he will trade Dame for less just so he doesn’t go to Miami.

The problem in all this, is we will miss on the rest of the FAs waiting on the Dame situation…

  17. Vitiate1367

That franchise has been fleeced in trades a couple of times the past few years but of course now they want to ensure they get the best possible deal

  18. Mellothewise

So sounds like no other team will even consider doing a 1-to-1 team trade.

because yeah, realistically even a team like NO or BKN have great packages (even Boston…bleh), but their GM’s do not want someone so adamant about **not** playing with them.

so unless Lillard capitulates and says he wouldn’t mind another team or 2 to go to, Guess Cronin knows it’s us or “bust”.

I just hate that we are slowly losing out on good FA signings with this BS still dragging on…

  19. Turtle_with_a_sword

I’m cool if we just walk away from the deal and tell them Herro is off the table.

Then we can really make them a horrible offer at the deadline.

  20. vicaris_mb

They just trying to inflict pain on us – the only leverage they have is drawing things out. Changes nothing in the end.

  21. michaelearning

Personally I feel like taking this drama into the season, whether Dame plays or not will only create a whirlwind of drama for their organization that will hamper the development of their young players and take away focus from what is important for them.

They have nothing to lose in doing this if they admit to themselves that they have no shot of winning anything meaningful, which is a terrible way to manage an organization. This is the crux of why Dame wants to come here and not the other way around.

This could all be a moot point depending on how disgruntled Tyler is coming back this season but I bet he will want to show off his value regardless.

  22. ab_ence

he needs to shut the f up and do what he needs to,

cause all this talk lame and will only make Portland look bad

  23. OrganisMmMm

Blazers are so fucked. Riley is gonna fleece this man.
