Oh wow, it seems Pascal is gone if these reports are true per marc stein and droppin dimes. After Hunter deleted his post and Bufkin and Murray got extended i am thinking those guys are about to be traded.
why would we want hunter whos just a much worse pascal and a worse OG and on a big contract

If I was Pascal I would be a little pissed that all of these rumors are circulating without any statement from Masai to shut them down. Seems like they are burning a bridge with him which is why I think he must be on his way out.
I believe the pascal trade rumors. People need to realize if we’re going to pay pascal big money it make’s keeping OG and Scottie a lot harder. Both of those players are up for contract extension, and no way MSLE goes into the tax for a core that’s been at the bottom of the East for the last couple seasons. Trading Pascal is just the smarter move to make because for one he’s going to command the most money (likely a supermax), and 2 he’s going to be 30 years old soon. For all we know the Raptors might have tried to discuss an extension with pascal, and he could have said not right now. I mean to be honest he holds more leverage if he waits until the end of the season like Fred did. Once the season is over they have no choice but to pay him, and if they don’t it’s more than likely bye Masai and Bobby. If you think MLSE won’t Fire Masai and Bobby for letting Kawhi, Danny Green, Marc Gasol, Ibaka, Fred and Pascal leave for no asset in return then you’re smoking out of the same pipe Rob Ford was smoking out of man. People are asking “well why trade pascal ?” Do you honestly think Masai can take another risk and head into free agency and have another player leave for nothing ? 🤷♂️ Pascal is this teams biggest asset, and if he leaves Masai is done! Bobby is done! MLSE likely doesn’t want to pay him $200 plus million, and if that’s the case there’s no other option.
Some of these guys are out of their marbles man. We only got Precious for our whole championship core so far, and you want to go into free agency with pascal for the final nail in the coffin ? This is why we’re bad. We got no assets for these guys.

I really don't think Siakam is making all nba this upcoming season. the team around him just isn't good enough
Grange is the one who's reporting all of this and he locked in that we were going to pick Suggs over Scottie. Also, just because a player is being asked about by other executives doesn't mean that a trade is going to happen – probably Masai just guaging market value and other teams wanting Siakam because he's a proven winner. There's also no way the Raps re-sign Poeltl and let Siakam go. That would have definitely been a condition of Poeltl returning. It also makes no sense to trade Siakam when his stock is as low as it is (apparently). He's worth way more to us than what we're going to get and he gets better every year.

I don't think they should be trading Pascal for anything other than a big young talent that you can bank on being a core piece alongside Scottie. He's a top 10/15/20/whatever player who isn't even 30 years old yet and wants to be here. Worrying about timelines not lining up is just overthinking it. Trading him for a mixed bag of young players, cap considerations and picks, is a mistake.
As for the Hawks specifically, they have nothing. They could say "have anything and everything you want except Tre" and I'd say nah, we good.
I can't believe I am making another comment here. Raptors have been bottom last couple season because of Nick Nurse. Masai should have fired him at least 2 years ago, but didn't and that is on Masai. Barnes has shown no signs that he is ready if even ever able to take over. You have you heads up the * if you think he is. The worst mistake since not firing Nurse earlier is losing Pascal to some unneeded trade. Whoever got him will be a title contender.

Siakiam needs to go plain and simple. Your not getting a super max and your iso style of play won’t fit into Darkos plan and all your gonna do is create a toxic environment.
Ben I enjoy these videos more and more everyday. My feelings on Pascal is I would love to keep him. He is an all world. If FVV got 42 million which I still think is nuts, what would Pascal get and would that hinder their cap for many years

If we get Hunter in a Siakiam trade then trade OG too. Trade OG to pelicans for Nance Jr and Dyson Daniels or Trey Murphy lll
Understand this about Pascal – his efficiency is ho-hum, meaning he needs lots of touches to get those numbers. Go to another team and share the ball, his numbers will dip. Doesn't mean he won't be effective, but the numbers don't tell all.
The is no one from the fucking Hawks other the Murray that I would want over Pascal.
I’m cool if we keep Pascal but also if we do end up trading him but the whole we shouldn’t trade him because he’s the only star that wants to play here take is such a insult and just flat out wrong way to look at it. He is one awesome player but trade will be good for him.. He will love playing with the Pacers and they have players and a ton of draft picks. If he stays in Toronto they are going nowhere change is constant and great for him and the Raptors

I'm still not sold on trading our best player who enjoys playing here allegedly. If its true that upper manageent does not want to pay him it will show that the two biggest stars who showed loyalty to the Raps were traded in Derozen and Siakam. Both loved the city were committed to winning and enjoyed success. Also Nobody WANTS to come to Canada not even the Canadians who play in the NBA, they prefer Utah or Denver because its America and they pay less taxes. Its either we pay him and show appreciation or trade him but at the deadline not now let his value inflate a bit if you really want to rebuild.

Siakam won’t get traded and we will be stuck with him if his value is this low. I’m actually surprised there was more demand for a guys like Fred, GTJ and OG when Siakam has a more well rounded and accomplished career.
