So what’s the issue here?

He’s 33 years old and only wants to play for a team that will be a top contender after adding him. Teams with a longer view do not want him unless it comes at a steep discount. Most top contenders are either asset poor (Sixers, Suns, Bucks, Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks) or set at point guard already (Knicks, Nuggets, Warriors, Grizzlies, Hawks).
Portland’s roster is unbalanced as well, making trades based around guys like Maxey or Trae Young unattractive to them.
Of course there’s not a strong market.
This whole presscon was just him trying to save face, I’d like to call their bluff and let them drag this out while Dame is losing value. Bro is creating artificial leverage
If only he put this much effort into building a winning roster for Dame
