Mike Dunleavy Jr on why the CP3-Poole Trade: “Looking to improve our team. Adding Chris lets us get better, addresses some needs, & some financial flexibility moving forward…Told [Poole] he’ll always be a Warrior. Always welcome back…In terms of his fit, winning. Chris brings that” (2:21)

It feels to me like Mike has done some house keeping work in a way it hadn’t been addressed previously. And also it feels like the roster they’re building this year is more balanced than last years.

“he’s always welcome back” when he’s really not.

Feels like mike mostly traded Poole bcs of the financial situation. I think if Poole was on a better contract he wouldn’t have been traded, or at least not for this package.

I can definitely see Poole coming back once dray and Steph retire. It’s far fetched of course but who knows

we would not have that banner without JP. I’m a big critic of him and think letting him go was the right call, but the first part is true.
