This is the best thing, there’s no trade out there that makes sense for best parties.

Despite the sour taste from the Celtics loss, Harden had a solid season last year and is still a top 10 PG in the league.

Let’s see if Nurse can work some magic with this roster. If Embiid has another MVP caliber season we’ll be back to the second round no problem. If we still can’t get beyond that, then we’ll be in a prime position to blow it up with Harden and Tobi expiring.

Nice. Hope he has a chip on his shoulder this season.

Sixers still need to add a wing and a Niang replacement for the much needed shooting. And can’t lose any important for players. To realistically have a shot.

Please be Morey driving up the price, please be Morey driving up the price, please be Morey driving up the price….

The 180 this sub has taken on running it back is hilarious 🤣 You guys act like you weren’t calling for Embiid and Harden to both get traded and starting over with Maxey

This is actually the best outcome. Getting Harden back on a 1yr 35M deal is fantastic, no long term commitment unless we get over the hump. I’m interested to see what Nurse can do with this group.

It’s pretty obvious that Harden still wants out but is being forced to play since no one wants him.

We’re just gonna have to pray that he cares enough about his next contract to not sabotage the team. (He’s not)

  8. I’m at a brewery rn and ESPN is on and reporting the opposite of the tweet lol

“Ramona: James Harden reiterates to 76ers his desire to be traded”

Covering all their bases I guess

We’re kinda stuck with this roster for 1 more year regardless. If we have a 2nd round exit again blow it up Tobi and Harden will be expiring

Only one year and 35M, I’m fine with that especially if there’s no good return for trading him

I don’t think he’ll bring out the fat suit and play like shit (on purpose) either since he has to make a good case for his next contract

Edit: After thinking this over I do think there’s a chance he plays bad purposefully, albeit not a big one

Why does everyone think this is 100%? Just as likely this is posturing from our front office

Hardens gotta realize the chances of him being traded drastic go up if he just shows up and plays well during the regular season like last year.

Running it (mostly) back for another season is probably the best option right now, TBH. Let’s see what Nick Nurse can do with this roster. We’ll get a clearer picture of the direction the Sixers are heading towards next year.

When Miami finally realizes they aren’t getting Dame, we can ship them Harden for Lowry and Caleb Martin as a consolation prize.

James harden returning on a one-year “prove it”contract year is BY FAR the best outcome of this entire ordeal. Please let this be true

Feels like Harden was legit mulling over going back “home” to Houston to close things out and was upset the front wasn’t quick to give him the Max as a make good for the discount last year, so he threw out the opt in/trase request as leverage.

Ime/Houston not being interested, lack of great trade offers, and some party time gave Harden decent reason to back off his trade request.

My issue is he can’t deal with a light press. The shot clock is at 8 before we even attempt to get into the offense. If that can be mitigated then okay.

Edit looking for stats to back up my observations. Obviously 8 is exaggerated but it’s painful for me to watch.

  18. Running it back with a competent coach is not a bad thing
