Not a fan of the first rule but I really like the second rule with how Spo manages our challenges.

I absolutely hate the second challenge. The game is already dragging so long with all these last minute reviews, and now we’re adding another challenge? Fml man.
Garkech
That definitely will give spo an incentive to use his challenge more consistently
Slimshady305
Sucks for Kyle lol

“Flops” why do I get the feeling we’re going to see some egregious reffing in relation to this?

Seconds bad for me because I like to flop in real games LMAO

Star players will be allowed to flop, others won’t.
Innsmouth_Swim_Team
I’m a fan of both rules.
The flopping one de-incentivizes that obnoxious stain on the game that we can thank Vlade Divac for introducing to the US. Take that shit back to Europe and soccer.
The challenge rule is good because what if you win a challenge, then a ref blows some egregious whistle. Why shouldn’t you be able to demand they correct that one too? This doesn’t give any incentive to abuse the challenge system, because if you lose a challenge you’re out of challenges. But it does take care of our refball problem a little.
Muted_Dog7317
Kyle definitely getting traded.
Both rules sound good to me.

Perfect time to get off the Lowry contract lol

They should keep their challenges no matter how many times as long as they get successful ones.

First rule is gunna slow down games so much.

I’m a casual so correct me if I’m wrong but what constitutes a “flop” might be too subjective of an undertaking to be consistently enforceable

I really don’t like the flop rule. Refs already control so much of the game. They should just learn to not fucking fall for flops. And is the rule defense only or what? Because if it’s offense then every game will be 5 hours long if they actually enforce the rules.
rickblaster
I think the additional challenge is probably for bad flop calls
bird720
I like the flop rule on paper, but I garuntee it is not going to be enforced fairly at all
Gavster1221
Lowry value just took a hit smh
moonlava
Love it but the flopping is going to get controversial
Kuni_Nino
I can’t even tell what a flop is in real time. I hope it deters it but I think it’s something you can’t really enforce. The second rule I don’t like just because I think it’s going to slow the game down even more. I’m sick as hell of all the reviews near crunch time.
BucketHerro
If the second challenge is successful, do you get a third one? or it caps at 2 per game.
Separate-Lobster-590
Gonna be bad for jimmy flop choke
FlyLikeATachyon
Making it a technical is interested. Two is an ejection. And we know certain refs love to give out techs.
I’m definitely more optimistic about this than most people over at /r/nba

They can make whatever rules they want but it’s all about how the refs execute it. We know that if they enforced it correctly, embiid would go from mvp to back of the bench real quick

I’ll love the first one until it’s used against us.
The second is fine but I don’t understand why they lose the challenge if they’re successful but alright

They’re gonna call the flops a lot the first couple weeks and never again
