second rule a good one, should be available for both halves imo
this way we don’t have Ty Lue being an idiot and challenging random stuff
That coach challenge rule should’ve been there from day 1 tbh
Should prob be two challenges by default but I dig it
The coach’s challenge one is such a no brainer. Glad they finally added it.
Second coach challenge is a W
They’ll do that first one for one week just for good looks.
Can’t wait for it to be called in the first two weeks and then never again
Marcus Smart in shambles rn
I can’t wait until a team wins by a technical flop free throw
Right after we add Chris Paul 😭
Embiid’s and Harden’s career is over 😭
Challenges rule is a good change.
The way the in-game flop penalty has been implemented in summer league has not been good. It needs to be refined before it’s actually used in a real game.
These tech free throws are going to be awarded on a wildly inconsistent basis, huh?
Is the flop only if refs call it? What if a foul is called, coach challenges it and it’s obvious that it was a flop? Will they get a T then? I would hope so.
Well I’m all for a 2nd coach’s challenge. If anything I want them to go the NFL route of 2 challenges and then a 3rd if you get both right.
That being said, not a fan of the refs being given the power to give a T over a judgement call with some of the ridiculous techs we’ve seen of late.
Coaches challenge is long overdue, and should allow up to 2 per quarter. To those who think that would take too long, replays need to have a time limit to where a decision must be made in 45 seconds or less to overturn.
Sixers are FINISHED 😭
The additional challenge is good. The flop rule will probably be enforced one only one or two occasions after the first month of the season. It may come back in the playoffs so that the refs can do some good ol’ fashioned game management (as in making a game close for entertainment purposes, not match fixing).
It will always be crazy to me that the initial challenge rules were such that you lost your challenge even if it is successful. Crazy it took until now to change that.
How long until the refs revert back to the old rules? I give it 2 months
As a raps fan. I’m so angry we signed Dennis Schroeder. Dude is worthless now.
Yes we’ve had a second coach’s challenge, now what about a third?
As an honest Sixers fan I have to admit that unfortunately Embiid & Harden are beyond finished without flopping for FTs and we will never win a ring now
GG Lakers. No more 500 extra FTs from Austin Reaves flopping every play.
Scott Foster is sitting on a beach somewhere with his eyes closed dreaming of T’ing CP3 up for flopping.
Embiid in shambles rn
As a Celtics fan I have to say this has been a terrible off season for Marcus Smart. He ends up getting traded and now he’s gonna lose so much of his game lol
Can’t wait for the flop rule to never be used
Imo flopping techs should be assessed by the league after games. They just gave referees, who have been fooled by flopping for years, more power to influence the game. The solution was always to instruct them not to reward a player with the foul when they flop
Marcus Smart on suicide watch frfr
Coaches should have unlimited challenges until they are unsuccessful with one. It still seems like they are getting punished for the officials making a bad call.
i give it two weeks until they forget to call them
