wouldnt surprise me one bit if Wesley doesnt make the final 15. I think the Spurs seem content on being a positionless basketball team so i dont think being short on point guards will matter. A guard rotation of Tre, Malaki, Devin, and Julian is pretty good. Forwards being Keldon, Doug, Osman, and Bullock.

Doubt we’ll see Malaki’s stat line on r/nba like I was Sunday, but good stuff from him. Glad to see him use summer league to get his shot right.

We have a good shot at winning the whole thing if and when Blake decides to start playing some good basketball.

Malaki has no business being out there. He’s a starter quality player.

I keep seeing comments about Sidy’s passing

    Please upload clips lol

Barlow is shooting his way into a solid role in the NBA 5 games turned him from a fringe 2 way player into a guaranteed NBA contract. Spurs are going to have to find an extra roster spot and sign the kid no way he takes a two way deal now. If we don’t someone definitely will that jump is no joke 🔥

    Quick thoughts:
    – Branham bounced back with a filthy game. Shot it well from deep in a variety of ways (transition, dribble-step, catch & shoot, etc), created space in the midrange, ran the PnR, and finished at the rim.
    – Barlow was excellent again. Continues to show strong midrange game, super soft touch, tons of confidence in his midrange shot. Also pulled his spin move out of his bag on multiple drives, just needs to improve on finishing coming out of that move. Overall continued his upward trajectory
    – Champagnie was solid. Shot with confidence, attacked the basket well, showed off a good handle and ability to change speeds while keeping his dribble alive. Continues to show he’s more than just a shooter. I think he can play real minutes for the Spurs this year.
    – Wesley didn’t have his best game. A few turnovers / lack of control he shouldn’t have had, but did knock down another midrange pull-up (has flashed that several times throughout SL) and overall looks more confident in his shot.
    – Sidy had the sauciest passes of the night to go along with his usual excellent defense. Love the kid already.

Great games from Branham and Barlow again. I think Sidy needs some time in the G League to refine his offensive game in terms of scoring but he could be really big player for the Spurs in a year or two.

I’ll be honest, I’m really just not seeing it with Wesley. Imo the basketball feel isn’t there despite having the athleticism and it’s something that even the Spurs can’t always develop (see Lonnie Walker).

Sidys being too passive on the offense. We know Branham and Champ getting theirs. Hopefully they give him a chance to shine next game and put up more shots

good revenge game by Malaki. Hopefully he keeps sacrificing to He Who Walks Behind the Rows…

Juju with a near triple double. We have this man on a highway robbery contract and he’s only getting better.
