Woj been grimy. Woj made that Eme Udoka story worse than it had to be. Woj came out with a headline without knowing all the information. Everyone had to guess what Eme did and speculation became worse than the actual events. No one could take back their guesses after all the information came out.
Woj does dirt just in his efforts to be first.
I think Amin is wrong on this one.. At least in saying it’s a done deal. If this was a done deal like Amin says, you know for sure Miami’s side would have leaked the trade deal out already. They have no reason to make the story and speculation play out on the airwaves of sports media, they would gain nothing from it.
Besides let’s be honest it’s not like the Heat have the best package to even give portland in a two team trade to begin with.
Amin could be right though in saying a source in Portland may be using woj to leverage a better deal, but we’ll never know for sure. All I know is that man (woj) has been at the top of the breaking nba news business consistently for the last 10-15ish years. You don’t get to be on top for that long without having a variety of sources from both the management side (team front offices) and the players side ( the players agents) both of which use him as a conduit to further their own interests.. And honestly I don’t mind it. This is sports and it’s not that serious.

The deal is some version of Herro, Jovic, Jaquez Jr., and 2 first round picks for Dame….. BUUUUTTTT Jaquez just got drafted so he’s not aloud to be traded until July 31st. The blazers are just trying to get somebody else to take the bait and Woj just wants to give ESPN something else to talk about for a few more weeks.

I can believe that sports media would like to drag this story for a while since it's a slow time of the year news wise but I have one question. How does a network dictate the timeline of a trade? If the trade is a done deal what is the team gaining by delaying the announcement? Wouldn't both teams need to agree to keep it quiet? This sounds more like Amin throwing stuff at the wall rather than Woj. He's reporting they would like to hear from other teams to get a better offer. That sounds completely reasonable. They would be doing a poor job negotiating if they didn't try to engage other teams. This is Marcellus playing the game that he's accusing ESPN of playing. Ignore the likely story so he can make an video about the more implausible one
