The talent is undeniable. I like how he’s been moving the rock more these last 2 games. Needs to quit settling for 3s & clean the handle up but I’m encouraged from what I’ve been seeing!
Limit his 3s taken to a minimum. You can see why he fell but he's a hell of an athlete
He came out great but seems like level of competition didn’t give him excitement to try hard this game. Team was rolling so he was just out there but gotta limit those 3s if the shot is not falling. He had great inside game but when easy route today
Horrible game
Bro gotta fix that efficiency less 3's more driving to the paint and mid shots
Same positives and negatives. No feel for the game, doesn’t have good vision or passing ability and poor decision maker. Still talented with his shot making and finishing. Awful handle too tho
Been watching him since DMV Live before his senior year hs. Has nba dunk contest winning athleticism but really needs to work on bball iq. Drives into help/stunting defender consistently when he should kick to teammates. Shot selection (step backs with 18 on the clock) and quick decision making needs work. You can see his teammates getting visibly frustrated by his tunnel vision. But have faith he'll eventually adjust, great kid from great family.
He's such a bad NBA player right now. Low-key the first step isn't that explosive when he isn't attacking triple threat, that's why he's taking all these jumpers.
Shoot 2 Much!!!
Turnover Machine
G LEAGUE 1ST YEAR.
NOT READY
Kinda reminds me of Donavan Mitchell
He’s totally out of control but holy fuck does he play with force. Think Ant Edwards/Zion Williamson. No fun to guard someone who plays that physical.
Learn the game, pick spots better, tighten the handle (all totally achievable) and he’s an all star.
He looks like a Jaylen Brown type
Rockets are horrible spot for him. No playing time to develop
His freethrow does look like Jalen Brown when misses
If you understand basketball, look at increase in confidence. He's out here trying to destroy. He's unafraid to experiment. Shooting all different angles, using his 235lbs, even though he's got many TO's it's from many assist attempts. This is a pivotal glass full video imo.
He ain’t it
He’s a dawg
Whitmore is one of the best finishers in the entire draft due to his ability to finish through contact, finish above the rim. Also he’s a good cutter who has great catching ability going to the basket at full speed. He's hard to keep up with when going downhill so he should cut down on some outside shots and he should be fine going forward
