  1. Jalen Wilson has been amazing and played a balanced game shining both offensively and defensively. David Duke has kept putting in the work and definitely could get that last and third two way spot to stay in Brooklyn.

Overall though this young squad has been playing disciplined basketball and that needs to be a theme for our new core during this upcoming season….

  2. Looking at the Damian Lillard sweepstakes this deal could get done this week or the following but thinking it's months away from happening is a folly because Miami needs to get Dame so they can fill the rest of their roster out while Portland wants a third team to take Tyler Herro's contract. Brooklyn is the best team on paper as the third team given the value of their first round draft picks.

One of the Nets sources said today that the Suns 2025 first round draft pick if sent to Miami could unlock extra first round draft picks for them to send out to Portland while Herro comes back to Brooklyn. If Brooklyn could go that route and get Herro at a huge bargain that bodes well for the Nets and their future….

  3. As far as the In season tournament it's interesting to say the least and keeps evolving the sport of basketball. However having the tournament so early in the season feels a little condensed where maybe having the tournament finals happening on Christmas Eve might have made it more fun and special. Also it would have been more fun to have this tournament towards the All Star break as well and make that weekend more exciting too…..

  4. I'll give Duke his props for his play in summer league, not hating but some of the plays he made does not translate into the NBA. A few times he shot and drive the ball with 2 or 3 players on him. But I do hope he gets a contract with another team, if the nets sign him again I won't be surprised but if they don't sign him I won't be upset.

  5. To me I still wonder what Brooklyn does with Cam Thomas? He honestly should have been in his third Sumner league putting in more work and showing the improvements he needs to make defensively and as a playmaker. Given the additions of Dennis Smith Jr and Lonnie Walker along with Simmons return to the team and Spencer dinwiddie as well Thomas minutes just don't look like they will be there. Definitely something to look out for and see what happens….

  6. Jalen Wilson really does show what a difference those 4 years of college can make. He makes winning plays – it’s very different than watching Cam Thomas trying to get his own shot the last couple years.

  7. To be fair, DDJ has shown way more than Gray for the two way contract. I can understand wanting a big, but to me the results matter.

For me DDJ, Wilson and a toss up from Brooks/Chandler should be getting the 2 ways

  8. Jalen Wilson is ready kind of figure he would be – DDJ vs Chandler, it's a toss up. The only thing I would say DDJ could show better is his assist number That's about it – DDJ can maybe benefit from having a guy like Dennis Smith Jr around

  9. Wish DDJ all the best but I’m simply not very impressed at all that a kid that has been in the league for awhile now and had a lot of success in the g league last year is playing well against a lot of newly drafted college kids. Same with Wilson a 4 year guy. A lot times experience and simply having a man’s body is the difference in these g league games. DDJ is able to go in and take as many shots as he feels like etc. that’s not what his role would be on the Nets. His role would be play defense and his open threes.

I simply don’t see the need for a David Duke on this roster with Lonnie Walker and DSJ the redundancies are epic. How many undersized flawed wings can a team have I guess for Marks…. All of them. But he couldn’t find a role for Bruce Brown. Bravo.

  10. Hmmm…if Cam Thomas was buried last year….how does he fit in the roster this year? I hardly ever hear his name mentioned.

  11. In defense of DDJ: He's young, has high character, is very coachable, and has always been a hard worker. I believe he's get spot in the NBA because of those attributes and not because he doesn't have an accurate jump shot. Jump shots can be improved. I've seen it happen countless times over the year with many players, some even blossomed into all stars. Just like Bruce Brown not being kept, he'll get an opportunity on another team, that see his potential, invest in him, and he'll thrive.

  12. A few years ago I went to a Nets game and KD, Harden and Kyrie were all out, including some other starters. Guess who was the star of the game? David Duke Jr. People were literally chanting his name. Anecdotal argument for DDJ, but he did prove he can be successful on the next level if only for a game.
