[Greif] Starting today, Kawhi Leonard is eligible for a contract extension. Paul George becomes eligible Sept. 1. Will the Clippers offer either full max value, or hedge on something shorter? I asked people around the NBA what they would do.

Wouldn’t mind a full extension if it comes with a lot of incentives to play as many games as possible.

Extend him until 2038 as long as it has playoff production contingencies. If it does not, and he is upset that it does not….well, it was fun-ish while it lasted.

Honestly fuck no. Tired of paying high for no full season starters.

daily reminder to y’all OKC owns our 2024 and 2026 FRPs, we have no reason to not go all in on 213 yet again (believe me, i’m tired too) because until 2027, rebuilding is going to be one hell of a bitch to deal with since Kawhi and PGs value has dropped exponentially – here’s to hoping either of them takes a pay cut lord knows we need it

Let them prove they deserve that max by bringing home the coveted inaugural NBA cup.

Honestly until kawhi play starts actually declining I want him in LA, unless you get an insane offer with a young star I don’t think you get rid of kawhi. Any team that would trade for him wouldn’t have very useful picks.

Realistically there are probably 4 players in the league who have proven they can lead a team to a title( jokic, Giannis, steph, kawhi) I don’t think you let one of those guys walk.

Can either of the stars take less money? I feel like they would tbh, they know they haven’t delivered but they also know their best chance at winning a title is here. I doubt either of them want to go leave LA.

  8. If Kawhi wants to build the LA Raptors he needs a pay cut to bring in Siakam

  9. Fuck it, rain the downvotes.

I am done with this two. I will still, and always, support the Clippers of course even if these two are still in the roster, coz shiiieett, I’ve been doing that for the last three decades.

But I got very low hopes coming into next season.

He’s getting older and already broken. Throwing more money at a sunk cost isn’t wise, but I imagine they will.

Is Kawhi the future of our team who will bring us a ring?
