I’m a designer. Sometimes to unserious my work I’ll do fun projects for myself. I remade the Warriors logo into a modern design. Is it trash? Is it dope?

For context: There is no context haha. I’m not using this anywhere or submitting it anywhere. I just made it to destress and do something fun. Instead of letting it just sit on my harddrive and no one sees it, I thought maybe this crowd would like it.

I like the font used by the logo just ain’t it

It’s …… whelming

Our logo is already modern and minimalistic (like every logo in this era)

I see what you’re going for. Keep working on your craft my G 💪🏾

I like it quite a bit.
Evocative of the current logo, but feels more modern and slightly more abstract. The original is a classic, and this is a fun alt that doesn’t throw the whole history of the brand away. Would like it if they mixed something like this in on hats and other apparel.
Question: Since the logo itself is symmetrical (unlike the current), does it look better or worse when centered on the shirt/hat/etc. (versus offset)?
MultiPass21
It’s not great.
Better than I could do, don’t get me wrong, but nothing worth selling.
HeirKuminga
It doesn’t improve on the current warriors logo. Outside of Bay Area natives and current Warriors fans, I don’t think many people would know that’s supposed to be a bridge.
Seems like you can do something with that design that combines the bridge and an arrow, which might be cool and more relevant.
Good luck and keep it up!

It’s not trash, it’s actually quite good. My brain doesn’t understand it tho

Looks like a ladder

First look I thought it was the WTC Oculus. Closer look oh it’s The Bridge.
ThinkingOrange_
Clean and professional but the graphic isn’t really doing it for me. Maybe the perspective is kinda wonky? Are we looking at the bridge from the top down, or from underneath?

Meh

It’s like the current logo but worse in every way with the font and “bridge” I would think this was a pretty laughable knockoff if I saw someone wearing it.
Just my honest opinion.
xanroeld
dont like the logo. too symmetrical. doesn’t read as a bridge, let alone the golden gate bridge.
ghostManaCat
Not trash, but it doesn’t improve on the current logo.
Not sure if intentional, but I get a Native American vibe from seeing the fletching of an arrow or feather… lending itself to “warriors”
That said, conceptually, I really like the idea of blending the bridge, bay area imagery with something that says warrior.
I would iterate on that concept and see where it takes you.
hbsboak
The current logo is already modern and sadly, I like copperplate gothic (which is terrible) better than your font choice.
Your bridge looks more like a building, like an armory or something.
Fun exercise tho!

The logo doesn’t do it for me. Keep posting new ideas though

You respond very well to criticism and I admire that about you.

I appreciate the effort you put into this but I wouldn’t rock it

It’s not trash but it’s not dope.
The upside is if you’re ever tasked to create a genetic logo you can use this and no one would associate it with the Warriors bridge.

Try make the current logo like a 2000s team logo design
Objective_Celery_509
I dig it. Maybe 1 less suspension band.
Orphasmia
I think it’s really fun you’re doing this. I’m a designer myself, would like to chime in. Maybe you could go totally out there and add 4 rings (shows how many we’ve won) and each ring is a different portion of the bridge, and run it horizontally.
Displays a sense of time, the accolades and the connection to the bay and the team.

It’s visually appealing, but I think the logo is too static. The current logo’s off-center bridge tower adds some tension, while this one just sort of sits there–in an attractive way, true, but like I said static.
And I think that makes the font choice especially inapt. The curls on the *R*s make them a little goofy and playful, which may not be a good match for a sports team anyway but definitely isn’t good with the strong, solid logo.

Love the idea behind this. To me the most iconic part of the bridge (apart from the color) is the shape of the rigid spans within the towers (rather than the cable/suspension parts which will look the same on any suspension bridge). I like that you focused on the tower! This is actually similar in a way to the most recent official logo redesign which added more detail for the tower.
However your tower is so abstracted that it doesn’t have the distinct iconic look of the real GG bridge. If you mess around more, would be cool to see if that could be incorporated. Would also be good to think about perspective. The “dead on symmetry” that you have makes it kind of hard to recognize the image. Also if it’s dead on, the suspension cables don’t really fall at that angle, so it also causes a disorienting feeling. Maybe look at some images from right under a tower (looking up at a tower from the bridge deck) to see if there’s any inspiration there, or play with shifting the perspective to something more offset like a 45 degree angle?

kind of Houston Rockets, don´t know.

Brother you got a hidden talent, let’s keep that shit hidden 🔥🔥

If you want an iconic image of the Bay Bridge, I think you gotta go with the Eastern Span in ’89. Or maybe just use a golden map of the MacArthur Maze. 🙂

Do not like it. It’s like you went for too simple.

It feels art deco. Was that intentional?
