Having no option on the contract is a huge win, as long as he plays up to his contract. Even if he doesn’t, it’s not a huge yearly salary, and with his baseline skill set, it should age well. 3 point shooting rarely regresses until later in a career, and he’s theoretically only going to get more athletic as he hits his prime on this contract. Great W!
Grant’s age, playoff experience and skill set makes him a perfect fit here. The fact this is such a good contract gives me a lot of confidence in Nico moving forward. Hope this guy is a Mav for a long time
Nice he’s only 24 too not unreasonable to think he can improve his game a little more too.
He can be the “Aaron Gordon” of this team. Im not saying hes that good or athletic but they have the same mold. Can guard the best player. Can play 3/4/5 positions. Glue guy and a dog.
