  1. This is literally what happens when you build your team around a non marketable guy siakams value has never been high and he’s never been box office or even a guy who is looked at as a positive asset with his current situation

  2. It’s grim out here. I fear that we are in for some dark times between ownership cheaping out and our front office making some bad moves

  3. OG DESERVES a shot at being a main guy. Every time we have injuries he steps up and has all star level production.

    Nov-Dec (Siakam injured)
    OG: 21-6-2 47fg% (25 games)

That is by no means a small sample size.

Even the year prior he had stretches where he would reach those numbers easily, but he plays behind our stars, relegated to being a 4th option (behind Siakam, Fred, Scottie)

Hes basically Mikal Bridges on the Suns, let him go crazy, and he’ll take that leap we’ve all been expecting.

  4. It’s also not as simple to give him the max because it’s clear siakam wants to play for the supermax. If we offer him 4/190 then he declines then even the deals we offer right now will be even less. I hope everyone who said trust in Masai are still trusting and hoping the reason danny ainge stepped down and left was because teams were wary of him Masai also has been not only poor but has a bad name around him

  5. Folks! this is not true Siakam open market value, this is just one year's contract worth. Raps are most likey gguaging the value so they can use this as a negotiation tactic as is, hey… your skills are not as much in demand righ now so let's say you take less than max, say 160MM for 4yrs. Siakam's team be like, nah! we want the max 192MM. Everyone's prob gonna end up in the middle and settle for 176-182MM.
O.G. is no Kawhi. Prob a lower level Bridges in BKN who is on a cheaper contract so I'm thinking, he's not going to extend and want max next off-season. Raps can still move him if value is built-up with more touches and maybe a bump ni scoring, which is otall conceivable, we can get a couple of picks/propects out of the deal.
Whatever they do, hope they don't make a panic move. It's too early to make any rash decisions. Wait till trade-deadline. It's probably not gonna be like Fred, where the deals included Allen or Kennard. With the parity in the league, some team is going to make a panic move like ATL or MIN with Murray/Gorbert. We need to be more like Spurs and Jazz in this situation.

  6. Delano Banton walk for nothing, the Raptors could of save draft pick in Jakob trade if Banton was included…Masai said no and he's gone to Boston… paying Siakam is not main issue for the team, the equal dollar amount the team pays Siakam, without getting rid of money elsewhere to be under the salary cap, Adam Silva collects as penalty for the Raptors going over that salary cap.(if the team payroll exceeds a separate threshold higher than the salary cap. These teams pay a penalty for each dollar their team salary exceeds the tax level.)

  7. im an absolute common folk who is definitely not no GM of any NBA team but i cant lie i cant see any reason in wanting to build around OG a guy whose proved to us hes a great defender but is not that guy at the other end of the floor over our all nba champion primary scorer who keeps improving and wants to be here, after all this work to retain Poeltl to just go out and trade siakam for pennies rather than get a good scorer for OG and go on to do great things would be absolutely out of left field and a terrible GM move from Masai after doing everything correct to the tee so far this off season

  8. I really just want pascal to leave for nothing because if we keep him he’s gonna hijack the offense to get his contract then fail and just leave for nothing

  9. Siakiam ego has grown so bad it’s destroying his reputation around the league as difficult player to deal with. Siakiams lucky Charles Oakley ain’t on the raptors cause he’d slap the piss out of him. Siakiam and OG both need to be humbled.

  10. Im having less and less faith in our front office year after year, at this point, it will be good to shock it. New front office with the new coach

  11. Ben jus stick to the news, your way too emotional. As are half the Raptors fanbase regarding Pascal.

  12. As a pacers fan, it would be cool to get pascal, but it’s a rental. Nembhard is a long turn plan of the pacers and has insane upside. They aren’t trading the future for 1 year of a 4-5 seed

  13. Well said. It's frustrating watching this organization wandering aimlessly, without direction and making bad choices along the way. They've gotten themselves into a mess.

  14. If Pascal would choose a couple of teams he would sign with then the quality of offers would go up.

  15. I would rather keep Pascal, give him supermax and see how he + scottie works with more touches as fred is gone, this means trade OG, so be it, OG can't be a top player in the league, his ball handling and passing still didn't improve + he is likely to get injured and miss games, to top it off OG was injured during championship run as well..

  16. Thank you for sharing this insightful video! I truly appreciate the effort you put into creating it. However, I have a suggestion to enhance its overall impact. It would be beneficial to focus on improving the information density, as I noticed certain opinions being reiterated frequently throughout the discussion. By streamlining your points and minimizing repetition, you can effectively deliver a more concise and engaging presentation. Keep up the great work!

  17. You got to realize one of the reports you have read is obviously not true. Either the can't get Nemhard is not true or the won't give Pascal for scoot is true. They can't both be true at the same time.

  18. Extending Pascal is stupid. If the Raptors dont compete this year. He has no value because he hasnt been the best player in a 7 game series in his career. He does nothing for us for winning. So why must another team take him on for 3 to 4 years when hes never been a playoff threat as a number one option player

  19. I love Massai but I think he needed these L's to rewire his brain to get back into shark mode instead of being so inactive when we clearly need action

  20. The Raptors are very close to going back to that team 13 years ago that was the laughing stock of the league for years ..Massai and Bobby better tighten up and make the hard decisions that need to be made

  21. The new CBA is going to be tough for these #2 guys on the open market and the NBA middle class. You have two max contracts to give, PS can be one of them as he has proven to be a good #2. A super max for him should be out of the question. Thay would be a Beal level deal.

  22. Because other teams will forever try to low ball us so i don’t blame our management for hanging up the phone on most teams

  23. decisions should have been made last season. should have picked a direction then. now pascal says he won't re-sign to a club he is traded to and the raptors will not get anything worthwhile now.

  24. Ben, this is the first time you genuinely frustrate me. We're in this tough position because of players who were untradeable from being overpaid. Now you want to embark on the same journey with even more untradeable contracts and believe we can get more in return? That is clearly false. Look at Beal, Harris or any other seriously overpaid player. Also, only a fool thinks Siakam's max contract won't be crippling to this organization.

  25. Hahahahaha you guys chill. Ok P is a Raptor. He is busy in the Gym he doesn't have to be in Vegas. He doesn't gamble!!! He earns every penny. BTW we can have both of them.

  26. Pascal only wants to stay on the chance of a supermax. stop being delusional. everything is smoke until you see the fire. if he really wanted to stay with toronto, he woulda signed the max extension already. no other team can offer more, even in free agency. giving this guy a supermax would be a disaster. think westbrook, harden but without the superstar name. you guys are insane if you think he wants to stay here just because. it's a business supermax decision and nothing else. two choices. (1) he signs the extension now, proving he does wants to stay (2) trade him even if its for 50c on the dollar. it's not that complicated

  27. Knowing Bobby, he’ll probably give Siakam super max, plus no trade clause..

    😂

  28. " The money he deserves"…Nobody wants a 39 mill PS headed for max. This is going to be a nightmare year.

  29. Skills is a champ who will give you a consistent 27/7/5 and we can't even move him for Nembhard, tf is going on. We should be able to lock Haliburton AND Nebhard for Skills and a piece.

  30. I feel the same way. He will be more expensive in the long run, but keep Pascal and trade OG

  31. Andrew look damn good in summer league. Off the dribble, pick n roll in into middys an floaters aswell as vision. Need more I agree but hes gonna be very nice in the league.

  32. The beginning of the end of Masai. How did the Raptors get point, max contracts, expiring contracts, lose one of the best coaches, and Fred let go for nothing with no replacement. Fire Masai.
