Everyone not named Max or Hodge need to go get their passports ready.

I blame the refs lol

Wish they ran more plays for max. His three point is lethal.

Christie continues to look like he’s on another level. People will rag on JHS bad shooting but he was good up until the entire team went cold in the third.
Loved his aggressiveness and think he‘ll continue to get better. Hodge looks every bit like the volume sniper/defender he was in college, think he gets converted to a full contract by the end of the season.

Does this mean we have no shot at the semifinals? I’m desperate for more Laker games in July

max was really getting double teamed in summer league

Lakers struggled defending in the paint in the second half and the shots weren’t falling in.

Christie in 5 games so far is averaging:
20/6/4 in 31 minutes on 49%/55%/96% shooting splits in addition to 2.4 “stocks”.

Excited for Christie with another 2 months of trainings

Castleton showed he is not ready for the big show. Needs a year to get stronger. Good find on 2-way. Lewis looks lost. Why are they playing Fudge as a center? Fino looked okay but still solid. Max showed he is a 2/3 not 1/2. Handling the ball pressure was not great and some ugly turnovers

Hodge and Christie were solid, but definitely was a rough game from both Castleton (especially on the offensive end) and JHS (who went a lil gung-ho at the end) tonight, here’s hoping they can bounce back next game. Castleton needs to bulk up as well, he struggled against both the Celtics Centers. Also, I found it kinda funny when the team needed Swider chucking 3s he decided to pass out of them lol.
On to the next, Castleton’s got his work cut for him Friday vs Lofton Jr.

This game really highlights how far away Fudge is from being an NBA player, that offense was truly not at an NBA level. Swider man, I love your shooting but how can you not hit wide open corner 3s. Also Swider running the break as the ball handler was really awful, missed hodge cutting to the basket and passed way too late to Lewis for a missed 3. Plus his defense was not good to say the least. I don’t know who 36 is, but I never want to see him on the court again. Castleton had an off-night and JHS seemed tired based on how short his shots were in the second half. Lewis really needs to be more aggressive and ask for the ball more. At least Max and Hodge had good games. I don’t really want to tear into guys because it’s just summer league in the end but losing to the Celtics is always gonna make the losses hit harder.

Observations:
Max Christie continues to be awesome, played a great floor game and shot was smooth as f***. Started to see the limits of his new developing handle though as he was forced to give it up on strong ball pressure and had a few turnovers trying to dribble through doubles (yes they doubled him sometimes). Overall continue to be impressed.
JHS had a rough shooting night and seemed to force the issue at times, especially in the 2nd half. Still there were bright spots with his vision on passes and generally running the pick and roll well. Falls in love with the floater too much, would have liked to see more driving into the defense to draw fouls. Good reps in a tight game for a young player.
Castleton had his worst game so far with refs tight on his reach ins and facing his kryptonite with both Boston bigs: taller and/or stronger. He needs to add strength this season to be able to hang against these matchups in the NBA, hope the team already is in his ear about getting on a strength program.
Hodge had the flamethrower from 3 in the 1st half, cooled off in the 2nd. Still, saw good motor on D and a relatively steady game from him even though the shooting was streaky.
Fudge did Fudge things, some blocks and bricks.
Swider still ass.
EDIT: Didn’t notice Lewis much which has been a bit of a trend. Want to see some more aggression from him but at least he isn’t just out there chucking (which was a concern considering his role in college).
