I hope this Fentress dude is Barry Jackson of POR.
We can offer 3 FRPs ourselves (assuming OKC amends the protection), Herro will net us at least another FRP from the 3rd team, according to Shams report. That makes it 4 FRPs. And then we offer Jovic. That’s “**4 firsts, at least 1 if not 2 young talents**” that he mentioned. Salary filler can be Lowry, who’s an expiring contract. Maybe we should also take on Nurkic because that’s a bad contract POR might want to unload.
So the 3 team trade would look like this. Let’s just assume the Nets is the 3rd team:
* MIA: Damian Lillard + Jusaf Nurkic (bad contract)
* POR: Nikola Jovic + 3 Heat FRPs + 1 Suns FRP (from Nets) + 2 Nets SRPs + Kyle Lowry (expiring) + Ben Simmons (bad contract)
* BKN: Tyler Herro
BKN has to unload some salary to obtain Herro. They can’t simply absorb his contract. From BKN perspective, unloading Ben Simmons as well as obtaining Herro *has to* cost more than just one FRP. I wanna say two FRPs but it might be too much, so I included two SRPs instead of another FRP. And at the end of the day, Simmons is a wing so POR might find some use of him.
Only drawback from the Heat perspective is getting Nurkic, but I think we can utilize him or seek to move him in a separate deal later. If getting Nurkic means we get Damian fucking Lillard while also keeping Jaquez Jr and Caleb, send him over.

You heat fans are so delusional. It’s such a bad package. No proven players, draft picks at the end of the first round.
Also, Portland has dame on 3+ years, might as well hold onto him and then see if there are injuries and contenders will get desperate and go all in for yearly rental. It will be better than any package Miami can offer.
Its also in their best interest to sit dame and tank so they can get a better draft pick. I dare someone to come and refute any of my points.
In summary, PDX has no incentive to trade dame at this point in time. If at the deadline there are no packages, then yes he will be traded for Miami scraps and we all get it. If anything, Miami has no leverage bc they cant waste a year of butlers prime.
Edit: also herro already deleted Miami off his IG.. So who’s chemistry is really ruined for one of butlers final prime seasons?
Interested to hear how this goes. However, Portland doesn’t want Herro and there’s reason to believe that the FRPs will be late FRPs. I still think a third team will be involved.

Do yall think we can flip Caleb for a first? Look, I love Caleb as much as anyone but if Herro is only fetching a single first, I say fuck it & keep him.
As a Blazers fan I’m fine with this. Maybe Simmons can fixed by not being in big market and it would get us the 4 1sts . Lowry could also mentor Scoot if Cronin kept him. Maybe cooler heads are prevailing now and everyone can be happy. I know that’s what the majority of us here want.
People are going to be shocked when we don’t trade Herro.
Unpopular opinion but I hope we can keep DRob and Lowry as we’re going win now. Jovic should be the one to traded as JJJ is more NBA ready. Lowry forced his way here and has been great for us, especially year 1 regular season and this years playoffs off the bench. DRob is our only shooter and, IMO, one of the best sharpshooters/off ball players in the NBA still.
If we can keep at least 2 of those 3, we should be clear final favorites for the East.
